Nick Clark’s top cycling-related picks from Amazon Prime Day
While scouring Amazon for the best Prime Day deals, it’s hard not to keep an eye out for myself and my loved ones.
Hidden between half-price air fryers, suitcases and hair removal devices, there are some seriously tempting deals – some of which have already been sent to my Prime-subscribed family members.
Here are some of my highlights that might make their way into the cart this year, as well as some products I can’t help but recommend.
Shokz OpenFit headphones – £179.99 £139 (save 22%)
I’ve been using Shokz headphones for a couple of years now, and over that time they’ve become an essential item that I leave charging at my front door.
Whether going out for a few laps in the local, destroying my shins on runs or hitting the hiking trails, it’s great to have background music while still being able to hear the outside world.
More than anything, they help fend off the mental fatigue of remembering lyrics to a song I would be humming under my breath anyway.
Our in-house audiophile, Gary Walker, tested the Shokz OpenFits last year and awarded them a 4-star rating, praising their balanced sound, battery life and secure feel when on the bike.
The OpenFits feature on our list of the best headphones for cycling.
GoPro Hero 10 Black Bundle – £249.99 £199 (save 20%)
Having jumped onto the GoPro bandwagon with the Hero 2, it still amazes me how far these little cameras have come.
While the Hero 10 isn’t the most recent model, it still features HyperSmooth 4.0, which irons out the bumps on the trail below and results in silky smooth footage that felt almost AI-generated when it was first released.
We’re big advocates for the Hero 10 at BikeRadar, with the camera still being used in production for our YouTube channel.
The camera can take 23MP still photos and capture video in up to 5.3k definition at 60fps.
This bundle features a carry case, extra battery and The Handler – a floating hand grip that makes pulling the Hero 10 out of your rear jersey pocket easier for those group ride selfies.
Science In Sport GO Isotonic Energy Gels 15 pack – £26.25 £15.90 (save 39%)
While I don’t eat a gel on every ride I go on, I usually carry one as anti-venom for the snake bite that is The Bonk.
Science In Sport GO is usually my go-to, after stuffing my panniers full of them on sportive rides in the past.
The 60ml sachets are easily opened on rides and the contents don’t throw back negative feelings of taking medicine as a child.
Kärcher K 4 Power Control Pressure Washer – £239.99 £173.99 (save 28%)
While many would warn against power washing your bike, I look to the Knights of the Round Table and Lance-alot.
Being careful around sensitive areas such as bearings and suspension seals should reduce any chance of causing harm to your pride and joy.
This Kärcher K4 model features a maximum pressure of 130 BAR, which should remove even the most stubborn sheep poo.
Two lances are supplied in this set, one with a dirt-blasting head and the other with a more gentle spray head.
Kärcher’s Plug ‘n’ Clean cleaning system also features, which sees a detergent bottle simply sliding into the top of the power washer and being sprayed out of the lance.
