We tested the top-tier Sommet 297 AMP as a part of our Bike of the Year test this year, and were impressed with its lively nature and fun-loving ride feel, scoring it 4 stars.
This Sommet 290 CRX sits just below the flagship model but is no slouch in the spec department, featuring a 170mm Fox Factory 38 fork and a Fox Float X2 Factory rear shock controlling the 162mm of rear travel.
The bike also has SRAM’s new GX Eagle Transmission Drivetrain, which does away with derailleur hangers.
There is no doubt this bike offered great value for money before the sale price, but at £3,219 it is an absolute bargain.
Prime Primavera 56 Carbon Disc Wheelset – £899.99 £699.99 (save 22%)
The Prime Primavera 56 Carbon Disc Wheelset is designed with flat road racing, time trailing and triathlons in mind. It features a carbon fibre rim and the brand’s own SR1D CNC-machined hub.
DT Swiss straight-pull spokes are used to lace the wheels together, and the rim is tubeless-ready with valves included should you wish to set them up tubeless.
Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow Open-Fit Saddle with Carbon Rails – £219.99 £69.99 (save 68%)
Selle Italia’s SLR Kit Carbonio features CarboKeramic rails, which are said to reduce weight and increase the compliance of the saddle.
The outer of the saddle is made from Fibra-Tek, which Selle Italia says gives the saddle increased durability.
The brand claims the saddle tops the scales at around 130g (+/- 5g).
SRAM Code R Rear Disc Brake – £145 £59.99 (save 59%)
We were impressed by SRAM’s Code R brakes when we tested them, praising their incredible power and decent modulation, and awarding them four stars.
The brakes are the biggest in SRAM’s range with four-piston calipers and are designed for electric, enduro and downhill bikes.
Castelli Perfetto ROS Long Sleeve Jersey – £220 £138 (save 37%)
The Perfetto ROS features a water-repellent Gore-Tex Infinium fabric, which is said to fend off rain or snow should you get caught out when on a winter ride.
A fleeced front panel is used to retain heat on those cold rides, while a lighter, stretch material allows for breathability elsewhere.
Oakley Jawbreaker Dual Lens Photochromic Sunglasses – £280 £159.99 (save 43%)
Oakley’s Jawbreaker heralded the return of the big-lens sunnies when they were first released, with an interchangeable one-piece lens design.
These glasses come with a photochromic lens that adapts to light levels, and a Prizm lens that’s said to enhance vision by boosting colour, contrast and clarity.
Tacx Neo 2T Smart Trainer – £1,199 £969.99 (save 19%)
We awarded the Neo 2T Smart Trainer 4.5 stars when we tested it, praising its accurate data and mains-free functionality.
The trainer has a claimed power accuracy of within 1 per cent and an immersive real-road feel that mimics cobbled roads through the pedals.
Exposure Diablo MK13 Front Light – £245 £169.99 (save 31%)
The Exposure Diablo MK13 Front Light has a claimed 1,900-lumen maximum output for one hour, which should be enough to light up your local trail for a winter evening session.
The Diablo MK13 has a maximum runtime of 18 hours at a lower brightness setting and uses a 3,500 mAh lithium-ion battery.
