Canyon has released a new version of the Spectral:On, with a full-carbon frame, increased range and a slacker geometry. The German brand has also added a top-tier CFR frame to the line-up.<\/p>\n

By focusing on reducing the weight of the frame, while also developing its own 720Wh and 900Wh batteries, Canyon says it has created an electric mountain bike<\/a> that delivers both range and ride quality.<\/p>\n

Despite equipping the 2022 Spectral:On with bigger batteries, compared to the outgoing model and its 630Wh battery, Canyon says the new bike comes in at a lower or similar weight due to the new design and full-carbon construction. It\u2019s claimed to be stiffer as a result, too.<\/p>\n

Geometry has also been tweaked, giving the Canyon Spectral:On slacker head angles, steeper seat angles and longer chainstays.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the whole range has a mullet bike<\/a> setup, with a 29in wheel<\/a> at the front and 27.5in<\/a> at the back.<\/p>\n

In terms of suspension travel<\/a>, all models have 150mm forks, 155mm of rear suspension and 150mm seatpost travel in size medium. Canyon advises the Spectral:On is \u201crated and approved for forks with up to 160mm of suspension travel\u201d.<\/p>\n

Three versions of Canyon Spectral:On CF vary from \u00a31,949 \/ AU$3,099 \/ \u20ac1,999 to \u00a32,949 \/ AU$4,649 \/ \u20ac2,999.<\/p>\n

The lighter Canyon Spectral:On CFR starts at \u00a38,999 \/ AU$15,049 \/ \u20ac8,999 and rises to \u00a310,499 \/ AU$18,649 \/ \u20ac11,299.<\/p>\n

US pricing is currently unavailable until the bikes launch in America later this year, with delivery expected in the fall\/autumn.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s new?<\/h3>\n

Canyon says the 2022 Spectral:On is a completely new bike. Key highlights include:<\/p>\n
