will reportedly be used by a <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/pro-bike\/worldtour-bikes\/&quot;\">WorldTour<\/a> team at the upcoming edition of <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/events\/paris-roubaix\/&quot;\">Paris-Roubaix<\/a>, the toughest cobbled classic on the professional calendar.<\/p>\n<p>The device, which costs \u20ac3,998, can be added to \u201cany <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/what-is-a-29er\/&quot;\">29in<\/a> or <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/700c-wheels\/&quot;\">700c wheel<\/a>\u201d and is said to enable a rider to manually adjust their <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/workshop\/road-bike-tyre-pressure\/&quot;\">tyre pressure<\/a> while riding, using two remote control buttons.<\/p>\n<p>Scope claims such adjustments can provide a gain of \u201cup to 30 wattage [sic] of reduced rolling resistance, combined with improved comfort and safety in rough and wet conditions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released on 11 April 2022, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) confirmed \u201cbuilt-in management systems for tyre pressure are authorised in professional road cycling\u201d, paving the way for teams to use such devices in races.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by <a href=\"\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/news\/in-race-tyre-pressure-management-system-to-be-used-at-paris-roubaix-by-team-dsm\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Cyclingnews<\/a>, Team DSM will use the device at Paris-Roubaix, potentially gaining a significant advantage over its competitors.<\/p>\n<h2>How does the Scope Atmoz tyre pressure control system work?<\/h2>\n<p>The Scope Atmoz tyre pressure control system is a hub-mounted device that connects to the valve stem of a <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/tubeless\/&quot;\">tubeless tyre<\/a> via a small hose (which can be taped to a spoke).<\/p>\n<p>According to the UCI\u2019s in advance of an event, this meant finding a precise tyre pressure for every individual rider, which offered the best balance of performance on all of the various surfaces covered during the race.<\/p>\n<p>Inevitably, there would always be some kind of trade-off between speed on tarmac and comfort and grip off it.<\/p>\n<p>If riders are able to quickly adjust their tyre pressures on the
