Marzocchi has announced a new Bomber air shock with an asymmetrical piggyback reservoir, claiming the design allows a better fit in a wider variety of frames, as well as easier access to the compression adjuster.<\/p>\n

This will come as a relief to riders who adjust their suspension<\/a> settings when out on the trails. The air spring pressure valve is also fitted asymmetrically, so you shouldn\u2019t need to spend time fumbling around trying to fit a suspension shock pump in a tight and inconvenient space.<\/p>\n

The Bomber is available in a range of sizes to fit a broad spectrum of mountain bikes<\/a>, from dirt jumps up to downhill runs.<\/p>\n

The reservoir has a large volume, which the brand says allows an increase in oil flow and volume. Marzocchi is confident that the shock allows for \u201cconsistent performance on the biggest hits and longest descents so you can send it with confidence\u201d.<\/p>\n

The shock features Marzocchi\u2019s own internals, rather than Fox\u2019s Float X<\/a>, which it says \u201ccombine[s] zesty and confidence-inspiring ride characteristics with our proven Bomber durability\u201d.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Marzocchi<\/a> explained to BikeRadar the internals \u201coffer a firmer damping setup, which best fits the aggressive type of riding Marzocchi riders like to do\u201d.<\/p>\n

There is external un-indexed compression adjustment and an external rebound adjustment. Marzocchi adds the shock is easy to adjust for all weights and sizes.<\/p>\n

The shock is available in 40 to 75mm strokes and you can customise the feel using volume spacers, available in 0.1cin increments. You can also lower the available stroke using reducer spacers.<\/p>\n

The brand says the shock will pair well with any of its forks and is available in metric or trunnion-mounting options.<\/p>\n

All adjusters are said to be tool-free and the shock is compatible with Fox bearing mounts on both ends (excluding trunnion).<\/p>\n

Marzocchi claims the shock weighs 484g in its 205\u00d765 variant.<\/p>\n

The shocks will retail for \u00a3529 \/ $479 \/ \u20ac639. Australian pricing is to be confirmed.<\/p>\n

Availability is also to be confirmed but in the UK, small quantities will be available with more stock said to be arriving in August.<\/p>\n
