ENVE has launched its first gravel dropper post, the G Series Dropper Seatpost, with 40mm travel.<\/p>\n

The ENVE G Series Dropper Seatpost is available in a single 27.2mm-diameter option, weighs a claimed 395g and costs $325. At the time of writing, UK pricing is not available.<\/p>\n

ENVE<\/a> made its name by rolling out some of the best road bike wheels<\/a>, before expanding into gravel wheels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The release of the G Series Dropper Seatpost indicates the technology\u2019s increasing adoption beyond mountain biking<\/a>, where it was developed.<\/p>\n

Dropper posts<\/a> are increasingly common on gravel bikes<\/a> and have even popped up on WorldTour road bikes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To meet a rider\u2019s preferences and save up to 50g, the post\u2019s 350mm overall length can be trimmed by as much as 130mm, according to ENVE.<\/p>\n

The brand also claims the G Series Dropper Seatpost has a minimum stack height of 145mm.<\/p>\n

A low stack height keeps the post out of the way when it is down, allowing greater freedom of movement.<\/p>\n

ENVE adds this is the lowest stack height for a dropper post on the market.<\/p>\n

The cable-actuated Dropper Seatpost only works with internally routed frames.<\/p>\n

Most remote levers, including left shifters that convert to dropper post levers, and all cable-actuated levers are compatible, according to ENVE.<\/p>\n

The brand claims the G Series Dropper Seatpost\u2019s inverted design permits a more reliable cartridge mechanism in the post\u2019s 27.2mm diameter. A similar design is used on DT Swiss\u2019 232 One dropper post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although the G Series Dropper Seatpost is designed primarily for drop-bar riding, ENVE says it can also be used on cross-country mountain bikes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shims supplied with the post are claimed to make it compatible with 30.9mm and 31.6mm seatpost clamps.<\/p>\n

The G Series Dropper Seatpost\u2019s two-bolt saddle clamp fits all rail types and is easily adjustable, according to ENVE.<\/p>\n

ENVE has simultaneously released the G Series Dropper Remote Lever.<\/p>\n

The brand says you can pull the lever with your finger from the hoods or push the thumb extension from the drops.<\/p>\n

The G Series Dropper Remote Lever is compatible with most cable-actuated dropper posts.<\/p>\n

Weighing 35g, it is sold separately for $65. UK pricing to be confirmed.<\/p>\n
