CeramicSpeed has released a new version of its oversized pulley wheel system, the Cerakote OSPW X.<\/p>\n

The system is claimed to improve the durability of CeramicSpeed\u2019s OSPW system by adding a Cerakote layer.<\/p>\n

The release is said to \u2018bolster\u2019 CeramicSpeed\u2019s range of off-road products, and the new pulley wheels are compatible with SRAM Eagle AXS<\/a> and mechanical derailleurs as well as Shimano XT and XTR 12-speed drivetrains.<\/p>\n

However, you\u2019ll have to act fast because the Cerakote OSPW X is limited to three colours \u2013 Bronze, Gunmetal and Military Green \u2013 with only 100 pieces available in each.<\/p>\n

The Cerakote OSPW X is available now and costs $839 \/ \u20ac749. UK pricing is to be confirmed.<\/p>\n

Speaking to BikeRadar at Eurobike 2022<\/a>, CeramicSpeed\u2019s content specialist\u00a0Emil Dahl Mathiasen said the brand is \u201cmainly known for our speed and friction-reducing capabilities\u201d.<\/p>\n

But Mathiasen feels there are misconceptions about ceramic bearings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a prejudice about ceramic bearings being more fragile, but they\u2019re actually way more durable than steel bearings,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

By using a Cerakote layer, CeramicSpeed says the Cerakote OSPW X is its latest attempt to make its products more durable and to improve their \u201cability to perform over time\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cerakote is a polymer-ceramic coating and CeramicSpeed says it offers industry-leading durability, hardness and scratch resistance.<\/p>\n

CeramicSpeed emphasises Cerakote is a well-known material in the space and automotive industries.<\/p>\n

OSPW for SRAM XPLR<\/h2>\n

CeramicSpeed has also announced a new OSPW pulley wheel system for SRAM XPLR<\/a>, available from 28 July 2022.<\/p>\n

The brand says the durability of its products makes them an obvious choice for gravel riding<\/a> and that it aims to make its products available for the widest range of riders.<\/p>\n

Consequently, it says making an OSPW pulley wheel system for SRAM XPLR was a \u201cnatural addition\u201d to its range.<\/p>\n

The SRAM XPLR system will be available in standard and coated versions and in a range of colours. It will cost $599 \/ \u20ac529.<\/p><\/body><\/html>\n
