Orbea has launched a range of mountain bike wheels<\/a> under its new affiliate, Oquo.<\/p>\n

The three carbon-rimmed wheelsets in the brand\u2019s Mountain Performance category prioritise weight saving for cross-country<\/a> and trail riding, according to Oquo.<\/p>\n

The brand says its two alloy Mountain Control wheelsets are more durable and suit trail <\/a>and enduro<\/a> riding on harsher terrain.<\/p>\n

The Spanish company specs both the carbon and alloy rims with DT Swiss hubs and Sapim spokes.<\/p>\n

The Oquo range ships with either Shimano Micro Spline <\/a>or SRAM XD MTB <\/a>freehubs.<\/p>\n

Oquo adds that the front and rear rims are built differently in order to meet their own width and rigidity requirements.<\/p>\n

They also have asymmetric rims. According to the brand, this design makes each spoke take a similar level of strain, requiring fewer spoke sizes and producing more resilient wheels.<\/p>\n

Oquo builds the wheels in the Basque Country and allows you to personalise them (for example, their colour) at no extra cost.<\/p>\n

All the wheels have a hookless profile and come with wheel bags, tubeless<\/a> valves and tubeless sealant <\/a>in the box.<\/p>\n

The top-of-the-range XC wheels cost \u20ac1,999 and the most affordable Oquo wheelset is priced at \u20ac599.\u00a0Oquo has not supplied international pricing.<\/p>\n
