Now-deleted listings reveal Giant\u2019s move to gravel suspension <\/p>

A new version of the Giant Revolt gravel bike has been leaked on a number of cycling retailer websites.<\/p>\n

Called the Giant Revolt X, the bike looks to have been reshaped for even more aggressive terrain with the addition of a front gravel suspension fork<\/a>.<\/p>\n

First reported by BikeRumour<\/a>, the suspension-equipped bike was spotted on Australian cycling websites before the listings were removed. The pages revealed the bike features 40mm RockShox and Fox suspension forks and wide SRAM 1x drivetrains<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It has also appeared on a Canadian cycling website with a large \u2018Embargo\u2019 graphic appearing where a picture of a product would typically be.<\/p>\n

The gravel bike<\/a> still features the flip-chip dropout, which enables you to change its wheelbase and fit beefier 52mm gravel bike tyres<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the bike has yet to be seen in other markets, we can assume it will be released elsewhere this year.<\/p>\n

Descriptions of the bike on BicycleSuperstore.com.au and BikeAddiction.com.au say the Revolt X\u2019s frame has been reinforced and adapted to handle the 40mm of fork travel.<\/p>\n

New geometry looks set to give the bike more ability on gnarlier trails, as well as better descending characteristics.<\/p>\n

Compared to its rigid-frame counterpart, there\u2019s a significant reduction in bottom bracket drop from 80mm to 68mm. This will help accommodate the articulation of the front fork.<\/p>\n

The head tube angle remains similar to the rigid-frame Giant Revolt at 71.5 degrees for a medium-sized frame.<\/p>\n

It looks as though the bike will be available in sizes from XS to XL, unlike the rigid-fork Giant Revolt Advanced Pro<\/a>, which only ranges from S to L.<\/p>\n

The front derailleur<\/a> mount has been ditched, possibly showing a move away from 2x drivetrains on Giant\u2019s gravel bikes. So far, the bike has only been spotted with a SRAM 1x Wide drivetrain.<\/p>\n

This leaked version of the Giant Revolt has the brand\u2019s adaptable seat tube collar. This gives you the option of using the brand\u2019s D-fuse compliant seatpost or any 30.9mm-wide seatpost<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Revolt X appears to come with a dropper post<\/a> as standard, which should provide more room for you to manoeuvre your body weight to help take on more demanding terrain.<\/p>

Because the two bikes have only been leaked in Australia, it\u2019s not certain the spec and price will be the same in other territories.<\/p>\n

The Revolt X Advanced Pro 0 appears to be the top-spec model of the Revolt X. It features a Fox 32 Float AX Elite fork and SRAM\u2019s Force eTap AXS<\/a> wireless groupset with a mountain-bike derived X01 Eagle AXS derailleur.<\/p>\n

Giant\u2019s carbon CXR 1 wheelset is fitted with Maxxis Rambler rubber. The bike also features a Giant Contact Switch dropper post and Contact SL XR D-Fuse handlebar.<\/p>\n
