Australian pricing is to be confirmed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p> The Z1 features Lazer\u2019s KinetiCore<\/a> safety technology, which the brand now uses instead of MIPS<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p> KinetiCore is said to protect wearers from both the linear and rotational forces of an impact, like MIPS<\/p> The technology takes inspiration from car crumple zones, with foam sections in the helmet breaking off upon impact.\u00a0<\/p> Because the foam sections are integrated into the helmet\u2019s core, Lazer claims an improvement in ventilation and a decrease in weight over other systems.\u00a0<\/p> The helmet has received a 5-star rating in independent tests conducted by Viriginia Tech\u2019s Helmet Lab<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p> The Z1 has Lazer\u2019s Advanced RollSys closure system, controlled by a thumbwheel on the top of the helmet. The system spans around the entire circumference of the head and Lazer says it leaves enough room for a ponytail or bun.\u00a0<\/p> The helmet features eyewear docking slots to enable compatibility with cycling glasses<\/a> and it can accept Lazer\u2019s Universal Lazer LED to keep you seen when riding in the dark<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p> Lazer says its Aeroshell is compatible with the helmet.
