Discontinued smart trainer will still get “full support” for the lifetime of the product, according to Zwift <\/p>

Zwift has dropped the price of the Zwift Hub One smart trainer by 20 per cent.<\/p>

Available through zwift.com<\/a>, the direct-drive smart trainer has been reduced from \u00a3549.99 \/ $599.99 \/ \u20ac599.99 to \u00a3450 \/ $500 \/ \u20ac500.<\/p>

The Hub One was released in October<\/a>, taking the existing Hub \u2013 one of the best smart trainers<\/a> we’ve tested \u2013 and adding the new Zwift Cog<\/a>. <\/p>

This freehub attachment enables almost any bike with an 8- to 12-speed drivetrain to be mounted to the Zwift Hub One. Variable gearing is then taken care of by the Zwift Hub through virtual shifting, which provides an extra-wide range with \u201cminimal jumps\u201d between each of its 24 virtual gears.<\/p>

Earlier this month, Zwift and Wahoo announced the new Wahoo Kickr Core Zwift One smart trainer<\/a>, which essentially applied the Zwift Cog to Wahoo’s existing Kickr Core trainer<\/a>.<\/p>

As a result, Zwift is discontinuing the Zwift Hub, but, following the announcement of the existing trainer’s sale price, the software giant said: “Full support is expected for the lifetime of the product. Zwift remains committed to hardware and will continue to invest to bring increasing value and innovation to our customers.”<\/p>

When we reviewed the original Zwift Hub<\/a>, BikeRadar’s smart trainer tester, Simon von Bromley, described it as offering “exceptional performance in many areas”.<\/p>

The Zwift Hub One is available through zwift.com<\/a> and the sale price will be applied across all locations. No discount code is required. Zwift says the trainer will be available “while stocks last”.<\/p> <\/body><\/html>\n
