The 256g Race Integrated Handlebar is designed for hilly days when \u201cevery gram counts\u201d. The 325g Aero Integrated Handlebar has flattened tops for \u201call out speed\u201d.\u00a0<\/p><p>Also released is the new Cadex Race GC, a lightweight <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/tubeless\">tubeless tyre<\/a> claimed to weigh 279g and combine low rolling resistance with grip and puncture protection.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Cadex Max 40 WheelSystem costs \u00a33,499 \/ $4,000 \/ \u20ac3,950, the Aero Integrated Handlebar is \u00a3649.99 \/ $699 \/ \u20ac750, the Race Integrated Handlebar costs \u00a3624.99 \/ $650 \/ \u20ac720 and the Race GC Tubeless tyre is \u00a364.99 \/ $100 \/ \u20ac72.50.\u00a0<\/p><p>Cadex says it expects all products to be available this spring.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-best-all-round-road-wheel\">\u201cThe best all-round road wheel\u201d\u00a0<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cadex<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Cadex says the Max 40 WheelSystem is the \u201clightest, high-performance\u201d wheelset it has made.<\/p><p>With a rim depth of 40mm and weight of 1,249g, the brand claims the wheels excel in the mountains and crosswinds alike.\u00a0<\/p><p>The balance of low weight and aerodynamics comes from the Cadex Super Aero Spokes and thin aero hub flange, according to the brand.\u00a0<\/p><p>It says the 48-tooth ratchet engagement in the Cadex R3-C48 Aero Hub transfers power quickly. It is available with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR or Campagnolo N3W <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/freehubs\">freehubs<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p>In its own testing, Cadex claims the Max 40 displayed \u201cgreater front and rear wheel stiffness\u201d than wheels in its category, including the Lightweight Obermayer EVO and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/syncros-capital-sl-carbon-wheelset\">Syncros Capital SL.\u00a0<\/a><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/02\/Hookless-Technology-Cadex.jpg\" alt=\"Cadex hookless technology.\" class=\"wp-image-818472\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cadex<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Cadex says the Max 40 WheelSystem\u2019s 22.4mm internal rim width is optimised for the new 279g Race GC tyre in a 700x28mm width.\u00a0<\/p><p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-road-bike-tyres\">road bike tyre<\/a> uses a 240 TPI Supple Race Casing to lower rolling resistance to 18 per cent compared to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/components\/tyres\/road-bike-tyres\/cadex-race-tyre-review\">previous model<\/a>, according to Cadex.<\/p><p>The brand says it also incorporates a Race Shield puncture protection belt and an RR-S compound for reliable grip in varied conditions.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lightweight-fully-integrated-handlebars\">Lightweight, fully integrated handlebars<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"14204\" height=\"10652\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/02\/Fully-Integrated.jpg\" alt=\"Cadex Aero Integrated Handlebar on Giant road bike\" class=\"wp-image-818338\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cadex<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The Cadex Aero and Race Integrated Handlebars are both carbon bar-and-stem combinations that enhance aerodynamics with full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/tech\/the-truth-about-internal-cable-routing\">internal cable routing<\/a>, according to the brand.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Aero Integrated Handlebar has a flatter top section and longer reach in a bid to reduce drag and help the rider get lower on the bike. Cadex says it weighs 325g in a 420x100mm size.\u00a0<\/p><p>A rounder and thinner top section on the Race Integrated Handlebar reduces weight to 256g in the same size, according to Cadex. Cadex says the increased 11-degree flare adds control for mountainous races, presumably when climbing and descending in the drops.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"7962\" height=\"5311\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/02\/Modern-Geometry-.jpg\" alt=\"Cadex Race Integrated Handlebar\" class=\"wp-image-818335\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cadex<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Both handlebars have quite a shallow 125mm drop and come in 16 sizes, with an out-front <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-bike-computers\">bike computer <\/a>mount.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Aero Integrated Handlebar is compatible with 1-1\/4in, 1-1\/8in and Giant OverDrive Aero steerer tubes (with included carbon shims). The Race Integrated bar is available in 1-1\/8in and Giant OverDrive Aero-compatible configurations.<\/p><p>Cadex claims Team-Jayco AlUla puncheur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/pro-bike\/michael-matthews-giant-propel-advanced-sl\">Michael Mathews<\/a> has already won this season on the Aero Integrated Handlebar at the Gran Premio Castell\u00f3n.<\/p><p>That suggests the Race Integrated Handlebar is yet to be raced, at least at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/pro-bike\/worldtour-bikes\">WorldTour<\/a> level.<\/p><p>But will it be specced on the eagerly awaited update to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/bikes\/road-bikes\/giant-tcr-advanced-pro-2-disc-long-term-review\">Giant TCR<\/a>, as the iconic race bike switches to internal cable routing?
