These have a claimed weight of 400g per set.

The finickety setup process of the Exakt pedals is also said to have been smoothed out, with Look claiming its new power meter pedals can be installed in “just 30 seconds”, using a 15mm pedal spanner.

The Look Keo Blade Power pedals are priced from £599 / $679 / €699 for single-sided sets, with dual-sided sets costing £899 / €899 / $999.

The Look X-Track Power pedals cost £674.99 / $759 / €749 for single-sided sets and £999.99 / $1,099 / €1,099 for dual-sided sets.

Plug-and-play

Look

One of the key selling points of power meter pedals is they’re supposed to be easy to install – typically requiring only an 8mm Allen key or a 15mm pedal spanner.

Look’s previous Exakt power meter pedals had a somewhat complicated installation procedure.

This involved the simultaneous use of both an 8mm Allen key and a 15mm spanner, plus a certain amount of messing around with an in-depth calibration procedure in Look’s smartphone app.

Naturally, this made switching the pedals between bikes a more complicated task than with the best power meter pedals.

In contrast, Look says its new-generation power meter pedals are “plug-and-play”, requiring only a 15mm pedal spanner to install, plus a standard zero-offset calibration via a bike computer or Look’s updated app.

Look is so confident of this, it claims installation can be completed “in just 30 seconds”.

Look

The French brand says this is due to a “proprietary auto-calibration algorithm” that negates the need for the old installation and calibration procedure.

Look says its updated power meter design and “proven algorithms” offer accurate and consistent data “regardless of air temperature or altitude”.

It also enables advanced metrics such as pedal smoothness and torque effectiveness to be captured, although there’s no mention of platform-centre offset (which is available on Garmin’s Rally and Favero’s Assioma Pro MX pedals).

Standard Q-Factor and stack height

Look

Look also says riders won’t need to adjust their bike fit to accommodate the new pedals, because both the Keo Blade Power and X-Track Power have Q-Factors and stack heights “similar” to that of their non-power meter equivalents.

Digging into the numbers, the X-Track Power pedals have a stack height of 10.7mm and a Q-Factor of 53mm – the same as its standard X-Track pedals.

The Keo Blade Power pedals, meanwhile, share a 53mm Q-Factor with the latest Keo Blade pedal, but the stack height is marginally higher at 10.8mm, compared to 8.5mm on the non-power meter version.
<figure charge level.

The pedals have a waterproof rating of IPX7, while Look says the electronics are all located within the steel pedal spindle to protect them from water, mud and dust.

Look

Look also says the Keo Blade Power benefits from recent updates to the Keo Blade pedal body – including improved aerodynamic efficiency In comparison, Favero’s Assioma Duo pedals weigh 305g per set and Garmin’s Rally RS200 pedals weigh 320g.

The X-Track Power pedals are claimed to weigh 400g per set. This is 16g more than Favero’s Assioma Pro MX pedals, but 44g lighter than Garmin’s Rally XC200 pedals.

<img loading="lazy" replacement pedal bodies is yet to be confirmed), while riders will also be able to swap between road and off-road pedal bodies at will.

This was a feature first seen on Garmin’s Rally pedal system, though, in that case, the process is somewhat fiddly.

Fortunately, we’ve got sets of both the Keo Blade Power and X-Track Power pedals in for review, so look out for our in-depth report on this feature, and everything else, further down the line.

Look says its new power meter pedals will be covered by a three-year warranty, including a graduated
