It also offers full turn-by-turn navigation, live tracking, power and cadence data and the option to set up multiple bike configurations (including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-electric-bikes\">electric bikes<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p><p>The compact slimline case relocates the button controls to the unit\u2019s flanks, rather than the base, which we found awkward to use on the premium<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/training\/gps-computers\/cycle-computers\/bryton-rider-s800-bike-computer-review\"> Rider S800<\/a> unit.\u00a0<\/p><p>Pricing is not yet set, but Bryton aims to make the Rider 460 available at around $140, undercutting Garmin\u2019s base-model<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/garmin-edge-130-plus-1030-plus\"> Edge 130 Plus<\/a>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-prologo-has-a-3d-printed-saddle-coming\">Prologo has a 3D-printed saddle coming<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-6.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo Nago R4 PAS 3D MES saddle, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823565\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Prologo is venturing into the world of 3D-printed saddles. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Prologo is the latest brand to move into the world of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/3d-printed-saddles\">3D-printed saddles<\/a> with the upcoming Nago R4 PAS 3D MES.\u00a0<\/p><p>This saddle isn\u2019t officially launching until later in the year, but we got the inside scoop from Prologo brand head Salvatore Truglio.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cThe new 3D MES takes our latest race shape, the Nago R4, and redesigns it with a complex 3D-mesh design,\u201d said Truglio.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-8.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo Nago R4 PAS 3D MES saddle, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823562\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The saddle takes the shape of the Nago R4 saddle and reimagines it with a 3D-mesh design, according to Prologo&#8217;s Salvatore Truglio. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>\u201cWe have used different patterns in the honeycomb to give the saddle the correct compliance and pressure relief from nose to tail.\u201d<\/p><p>According to Truglio, the new saddle weighs 149g with carbon rails, making it, he claims, the lightest 3D-printed saddle in the world.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-tech-to-stop-mountain-bikers-from-slip-sliding\">New tech to stop mountain bikers from slip-sliding<\/h3><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-9.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo Proxim Nembo Slide Control saddle, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823561\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">This is Prologo&#8217;s new Proxim Nembo Slide Control saddle. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Prologo also previewed a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-mountain-bike-saddles\">mountain bike saddle<\/a>, the Proxim Nembo Slide Control.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Nembo was developed with the Atherton Racing team. This new 245mm-long saddle comes in 135mm and 145mm widths, and features a new surface finish called \u2018Slide Control\u2019.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-10.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo Proxim Nembo Slide Control saddle, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823560\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">It&#8217;s aimed specifically at mountain bikers. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>This, Truglio says, is designed to offer similar grip and comfort to Prologo\u2019s existing<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/components\/saddles\/prologo-dimension-ndr-tirox-cpc-saddle-review\"> CPC surfacing<\/a>. <\/p><p>Truglio adds: \u201cIt\u2019s not quite as grippy as CPC, to enable riders to easily shift their position while racing, but still has enough grip to keep them positioned in bad weather conditions.\u201d<\/p><p>The Nembo saddle weighs in at 213g for the 135mm width and 244g for the 145mm width.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New grips for mountain bikers, too<\/h3><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-5.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo Cush grip, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823566\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Cush is the first of two new grips from Prologo. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Also added to Prologo\u2019s off-road line-up are two new grips, both made from a material that combines a silicone-polymer outer skin with a recycled nylon core.<\/p><p>First up is the new Cush grip, 132mm long and weighing 93g for the pair, with a textured grip that\u2019s noticeably soft in the hand, while maintaining a slim overall diameter.\u00a0<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1199\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-11.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo Hexa grip, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823559\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Hexa grip is new, too. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The Hexa grip, meanwhile, is 134mm in length and has a larger overall diameter.<\/p><p>It has the same compliant feel as the Cush but without the textured surface. It instead uses a deeply channeled hexagonal pattern and a shape that narrows from its outer and then flares towards the inside edge. These weigh 95g for the pair.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cpc-for-handlebar-tape\">CPC for handlebar tape<\/h3><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-12.jpg\" alt=\"Prologo CPC handlebar tape, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823558\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Here&#8217;s some prototype handlebar tape from Prologo. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Truglio also showed us some prototype <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-handlebar-tape\">handlebar tape<\/a> that features Prologo\u2019s CPC tech. The CPC surfacing has been around on saddles since 2014 and on gloves since 2016. It\u2019s a rubber-like material consisting of thousands of minute chimney-like shapes, designed to add comfort and stability.\u00a0<\/p><p>Up until now, it&#8217;s been an expensive material to manufacture \u2013 prohibitively so in bar tape \u2013 but Truglio says advancements in Prologo\u2019s production mean this new CPC tape can be made more cost-effectively.\u00a0<\/p><p>No confirmed retail price is yet set, but Truglio says it will be around the $45-50 mark, or \u00a340-45 in the UK. It&#8217;s premium, no doubt about that, but in the ballpark of brands such as Supacaz and Lizard Skins, and undercutting the likes of Silca and Wolf Tooth.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-blk-tec-s-wild-carbon-wheels\">BLK-TEC\u2019s wild carbon wheels<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/blk_tec_inner_woz_1.jpg\" alt=\"2024 Taipei Cycle Show \u2013 Inner Bicycles GR101 titanium road bike\" class=\"wp-image-821335\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Wild wheels from BLK-TEC. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>BLK-TEC has only been around since 2023, but the company\u2019s products found their way onto a number of bikes at the Taipei show, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/taipei-2024-8-weird-wonderful-bikes\">show-stealing titanium bikes from Inner and Ora<\/a>.<\/p><p>BLK-TEC\u2019s most striking component is, without a doubt, the C1D wheelset. The radical star-shaped design combines both the spokes and the hub flanges into a single carbon moulding.\u00a0<\/p><p>BLK-TEC claims this configuration makes for a rigid, no-flex construction.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-3.jpg\" alt=\"BLK-TEC carbon rim, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823568\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The rim is hookless. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The C1D\u2019s 40mm-deep rim shape combines a 20.7mm internal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/rim-width-explained-for-road-bikes-mountain-bikes-and-gravel-bikes\">rim width<\/a> and 27.4mm outer.\u00a0<\/p><p>Due to the design of the wheel, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/hookless-rims-road-tubeless\">hookless rim<\/a> has a smooth, solid bed, eliminating the need for tape for tubeless compatibility.\u00a0<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-4.jpg\" alt=\"BLK-TEC hub, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823567\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Yours for a cool $4,880. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>BLK-TEC says the rim is optimised for tyres up to 35mm wide \u2013 and with a claimed weight of 695g for the front and 796g for the rear, they\u2019re competitively light for a 40mm-deep disc wheelset.\u00a0<\/p><p>These are seriously expensive, though, priced at $4,880 a pair.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1186\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-2.jpg\" alt=\"BLK-TEC carbon handlebar, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823569\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">This carbon handlebar is new from BLK-TEC, too. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Elsewhere, BLK-TEC\u2019s new R8 one-piece bar was designed in collaboration with Token components to be compatible with Token\u2019s Cable Box headset system (used by bike brands including Look, Ceepo, ENVE, Pardus, Isaac and Fara).<\/p><p>The $610 R8 bar works with both fully and semi-integrated cable routing, and is available in widths of 38cm, 40cm and 42cm, and effective stem lengths of 90\/100\/110\/120\/130mm.<\/p><p>The claimed weight of a 40cm handlebar is 320g.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-readygo-s-df3-will-solve-your-bar-space-woes\">ReadyGo\u2019s DF3 will solve your bar-space woes<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-13.jpg\" alt=\"ReadyGo DF3 mount, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823557\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Struggling for space? ReadyGo may have the answer. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>ReadyGo showed a new out-front mount with a modular system to enable you to incorporate a multitude of additional mounts.\u00a0<\/p><p>Alongside a standard GPS computer mount \u2013 with options for all the major units (Wahoo, Garmin, Bryton, Hammerhead) \u2013 it also has the provision to add a phone mount, GoPro camera, bike light and even a bell.\u00a0<\/p><p>So, if you&#8217;re increasingly short of space on your handlebar, the DF3 could be the smart space-saver you\u2019ve been looking for.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-selle-italia-branches-out-into-urban-saddles\">Selle Italia branches out into urban saddles<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-17.jpg\" alt=\"Selle Italia GT 1 saddle base, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823553\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Selle Italia is now offering an urban saddle with the GT 1. &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Selle Italia is known for its legendary racing products, such as the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/components\/saddles\/selle-italia-flite-review\"> Flite<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/components\/saddles\/selle-italia-novus-boost-evo-superflow-saddle-review\"> Novus<\/a>, and more recently,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/selle-italia-slr-boost-tekno-superflow-saddle\"> SLR<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/components\/saddles\/selle-italia-slr-boost-tm-saddle-review\">Boost<\/a> saddles. So it was something of a surprise that the big announcement for Taipei was the brand\u2019s foray into urban and commuting saddles.\u00a0<\/p><p>However, the new GT 1 contains a lot of new tech that we expect to see on future Selle Italia products.<\/p><p>The new EVA upper is formed in a single mould, incorporating both the padding and cover. This, Selle Italia claims, removes any unnecessary weight and removes the need for bonding agents between the padding and cover, meaning the EVA upper is easy to recycle.\u00a0<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/03\/Taipei-Cycle-Show-2024_-15.jpg\" alt=\"Selle Italia GT 1 saddle base, Taipei Cycle Show 2024\" class=\"wp-image-823555\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Could this be a sign of things to come from Selle Italia? &#8211; Warren Rossiter \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The next innovation is a bond\/glue\/staple-free attachment to the saddle base, meaning the user can replace a worn or damaged cover by unhooking the top from the base.
