Both sport the same amount of front and rear <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/how-much-suspension-travel-do-i-need-on-my-mountain-bike\">suspension travel<\/a>.<\/p><p>For modern-day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-enduro-bikes\">enduro bikes<\/a>, they\u2019re surprisingly kind to the scales, making them a perfect match for a head-to-head battle.<\/p><p>It&#8217;s hard to ignore the difference in pricing between the bikes. We were hoping to have the top-spec Cube Stereo One77 for testing, but even if we did, the Last would still be more expensive.<\/p><p>Modern-day enduro bikes have all the expectations of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-trail-bikes\">best trail bikes<\/a> piled onto their saddles, while they need to come close to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-downhill-mountain-bikes\">downhill bike<\/a> performance on the descents.<\/p><p>If they feel sluggish on the climbs or nervous going down, they\u2019re going to struggle on a big enduro day out.<\/p><p>To put them to the test, we lapped our favourite trails at BikePark Wales, as well as taking on some of the sketchiest natural trails the Forest of Dean and South Wales have to offer.<\/p><p>After a very closely fought contest, the results were certainly interesting.<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-introducing-the-bikes\">Introducing the bikes<\/h2><div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cube Stereo One77 C:68X SLX 29<\/h3><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cube&#8217;s Stereo One77 has 170mm of travel at the front and rear. &#8211; Andy Lloyd \/our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>This lightweight enduro bike boasts 170mm of rear-wheel travel and two different shock mounts; one for coil shocks, the other for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/coil-vs-air\">air-sprung shocks<\/a>.<\/p><p>Top-tier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/fox-suspension-fork-guide\">Fox Factory suspension<\/a>, along with a carbon Race Face bar, and Shimano XT brakes and gears, makes for a seriously appealing build.<\/p><p>Cube has really moved its geometry on over the last few years, ensuring the One77 is, on paper at least, up-to-date and ready to rip.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-group highlight-box is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><div class=\"wp-block-group highlight-box is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cube Stereo One77 C:68X SLX 29 key details<\/h4><ul><li><strong>Two for the price of one:<\/strong> Thanks to the additional drilling at the lower shock mount, coupled with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/flip-chips\">flip chip<\/a> in the upper, you can switch easily between coil- and air-sprung shocks, with no compromise, no matter which shock you choose.<\/li><li><strong>Toughen up:<\/strong> Cube\u2019s choice to go for the lighter Super Trail casing on the rear tyre helps shed some grams but isn\u2019t as tough as the Super Gravity casing found on the Last&#8217;s rear tyre.<\/li><li><strong>Roots manouevre:<\/strong> The Stereo One77 has some seriously clean lines, thanks in part to the internal cable routing. Andy Lloyd \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>This boutique carbon frame was, when it was launched, the lightest enduro frame on the market, according to Last.<\/p><p>That low weight is down partly to the use of a flexstay at the rear, rather than having a pivot on the chainstay or seatstay \u2013 something not often seen on enduro bikes.<\/p><p>It\u2019s offered with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/what-is-a-29er\">29in wheels<\/a> front and rear, or with a smaller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/what-is-650b\">650b wheel<\/a>, as tested here. Rather than a clip or lever to lock this lid in place, Last uses a strong magnet to keep the contents sealed away.<\/li><li><strong>Skinny legs:<\/strong> To help keep weight down, Last offers the Tarvo with a skinnier Fox 36 fork. Angles between the two bikes aren\u2019t a million miles off.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"83771550-fd0a-4da8-a347-3bffd9915535\"} --><\/p><p>I measured the head angle of the Cube at 63.8 degrees (Cube includes angled headset cups, enabling you to tweak this by 0.6 degrees).<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"04795c0a-c3b8-4a44-bbba-95a89280c107\"} --><\/p><p>The Last is identical and both bikes share the same 345mm bottom bracket height. Effective seat tube angles are fairly steep.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"16329ee5-eb37-466a-9798-a127b3420bdf\"} --><\/p><p>With the saddle set to my preferred height, I measured the Last\u2019s as 77 degrees, while the Cube was a touch steeper at 78 degrees.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"f8ecd4c0-ec89-44ac-abf4-ed884a7cdede\"} --><\/p><p>As for sizing, things differ between the two bikes, with Cube offering M-XXL frames, while Last\u2019s size range is denoted by rider height and has four options to choose from (165, 175, 185, 195cm).<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824942,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"af519679-8bdb-4791-a150-80a4e97cd847\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824942\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Cube-Stereo-One77-chainguide.jpg\" alt=\"Cube Stereo One77 C:68X SLX 29 full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">For racers, the included MRP chain guide helps when it comes to keeping the chain firmly where it needs to be.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"792917f5-9ec0-4703-b38f-509fe455a213\"} --><\/p><p>Reach on the size-175 Tarvo MX I tested was 454mm, while the One77 was 470mm on the size large (the medium \u2013 which has a reach of 450mm \u2013 wasn\u2019t available).<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"471033ab-e0d5-403b-9686-3ff4ee459aa9\"} --><\/p><p>Both bikes have short seat tubes, measuring in at 415mm and 420mm respectively.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"7b94dd84-113e-456d-afdd-58ac68c164fd\"} --><\/p><p>The One77 uses 435mm chainstays across all frame sizes, while the Tarvo\u2019s differ slightly across the range, though not by a whole lot. While the 165 and 175 frames get 432mm stays, they\u2019re 1mm longer on the large then jump to 444mm on the 195 frame.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"aa026639-db7b-4ada-b65b-71636aae88d0\"} --><\/p><p>Stack height on both frames is within a few millimetres (the Tarvo is very slightly taller). The build list is impressive, all things considered.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"37d0d451-33c8-4a52-bcd0-69d2c76a3cc3\"} --><\/p><p>Up front sits a Fox 38 fork with 170mm of travel, paired to the X2 shock at the rear.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"e2c61db3-8925-495b-8295-f3d483f301c8\"} --><\/p><p>Like the shock, the fork is from Fox\u2019s Factory line-up, so gets Kashima-coated stanchions and the vastly adjustable GRIP2 damper.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"754604fe-9fc0-4156-be2c-97ffb2001624\"} --><\/p><p>Taking care of stopping are the Shimano XT four-piston brakes. Swapping to alloy rather than carbon Newmen wheels would offer a substantial saving, and would bring the two bikes closer in terms of spec.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"d5598957-7d94-445d-a3e5-5524d18c61c4\"} --><\/p><p>That said, like the Cube, the Tarvo MX comes with Fox Factory dampers, too. However, to help keep weight in check, Last has gone for the skinnier-legged 36 fork instead, although it still delivers 170mm of travel.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"e2b8046b-3760-40a7-a7c9-e1e8a45a8822\"} --><\/p><p>At the rear, a coil-sprung DHX2 shock handles the 170mm of back-end bounce.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"ec14e511-0394-452d-be9b-ae86b64fb573\"} --><\/p><p>Gearing is provided by SRAM\u2019s X0 Eagle AXS Transmission and SRAM also takes care of braking, in the shape of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/sram-stealth-brakes\">Code Ultimate Stealth<\/a> stoppers.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824964,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"1acd2a5c-00d2-415b-b12e-007c90c5e551\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824964\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Last-Tarvo-MX-front-tyre.jpg\" alt=\"Last Tarvo MX full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The grippy, Addix Ultra Soft Tacky Chan tyre from Schwalbe certainly helped the Last stay stuck to the trail.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"605b0957-9128-4d14-a8c6-78390c26bcae\"} --><\/p><p>Schwalbe features again here, but this time it\u2019s the newer Tacky Chan tyres.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"3aa41d84-cd6c-46b7-9c5b-cfe94359ecef\"} --><\/p><p>Last has opted for the sticky Addix Ultra Soft at the front with a Super Trail casing, while at the rear, it\u2019s Addix Soft rubber but a tougher Super Gravity casing.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"407f3b9a-ea77-4ae0-b002-c6d97559e52f\"} --><\/p><p>This bling build tips the scales at a scant 13.55kg, more than 1kg lighter than the Cube and close to 3kg lighter than many of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/2023-mtb-bike-of-the-year-winners\">Enduro Bike of the Year<\/a> contenders in 2023.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"989688a9-5767-4144-8695-60f994704467\"} --><\/p><p>Overall, despite the price discrepancy, the two builds aren\u2019t exactly light years apart. But how do they ride?<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><\/div><p><!-- \/wp:group --><\/p><p><!-- wp:group {\"layout\":{\"type\":\"constrained\"},\"metadata\":{\"name\":\"Eager to Please\"},\"purpleId\":\"ea585b81-cd88-4723-815c-4afb73c60037\"} --><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-group\"><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3,\"purpleId\":\"8065e344-2c9b-46e5-80ea-1d47e5110b15\"} --><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eager to please<\/h3><p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824943,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"3b93f3e2-90f9-402c-ae56-57e6e1670043\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824943\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Cube-Stereo-One77-derailleur.jpg\" alt=\"Cube Stereo One77 C:68X SLX 29 full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">While not quite as fancy as the gearing found on the Tarvo MX, Shimano&#8217;s XT 12-speed transmission is a proper workhorse and hard to fault.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"d6379e1f-c19f-4527-88ab-af7e1ae2af1f\"} --><\/p><p>Straight from the get-go, the Cube accelerates uphill with relative ease.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"90969ea2-57fd-46cd-ac39-2518d13d75b5\"} --><\/p><p>There\u2019s little in the way of suspension bob when seated, and the steep seat tube angle perches you up and over the bottom bracket, making it a very comfortable position to sit and spin the cranks.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"2dab8cca-6e4e-44bb-bd1d-9144a121b1e1\"} --><\/p><p>There\u2019s certainly an air of trail bike to the One77 as you start winding your way up the hill.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"c07cda13-5ee3-4a58-9edf-4d7ef4a6bc04\"} --><\/p><p>Of course, it helps that Cube opted for a faster-rolling front tyre compared to that on the Last, but regardless, the One77 feels sprightlier than its travel figures might suggest when you\u2019re winching up fire roads.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"0653bbef-6bc2-4ab9-ae0b-3c4bc2435c8e\"} --><\/p><p>On more technical inclines, the rear end tracks the trail eagerly, keeping the rear tyre in contact with the dirt, maintaining traction and enabling you to put the power down.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"d42b2ebb-a6b7-4193-8ad0-a6f6fa541736\"} --><\/p><p>The Last is a little less enthusiastic when pointed uphill.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824959,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"7c411411-c4f7-449a-9aff-d76c804ff66a\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824959\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Last-Tarvo-MX-derailleur.jpg\" alt=\"Last Tarvo MX full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">SRAM&#8217;s X0 Eagle AXS Transmission gearing shifts impressively under power.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"338e8d1c-c4d0-4623-a9c1-f5ad0d0311f3\"} --><\/p><p>The super-supple coil shock sinks quickly into its stroke and on harder efforts, even when seated, made me reach for the shock\u2019s low-speed compression lever to firm it up and boost efficiency.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"010d44c7-d205-48a3-8885-1e83a112c881\"} --><\/p><p>This lever is easy to reach and does just as intended.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"fb5889f7-ba83-4e7e-b251-03e955b8a3f8\"} --><\/p><p>Thankfully, it\u2019s not a full lockout. That means the rear wheel can still inch its way up and over rocks and roots when needed to, which certainly makes a difference on sketchy, loose climbs.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"09aa1b6f-bc91-4a4f-b184-b006f7e1968f\"} --><\/p><p>Like the Cube, the seated position on the Tarvo MX is a comfy place to be.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"2f46f4cf-8ee7-43ed-8f91-595f2bd935da\"} --><\/p><p>The low weight of the Tarvo MX comes into play on long days, though, helping to keep the legs that bit fresher when pedalling lap after lap.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><\/div><p><!-- \/wp:group --><\/p><p><!-- wp:group {\"layout\":{\"type\":\"constrained\"},\"metadata\":{\"name\":\"Going Against Gravity\"},\"purpleId\":\"493a53ae-78b2-4ba5-aacd-57463c5f8d4f\"} --><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-group\"><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3,\"purpleId\":\"a47101f3-20cb-4aa4-bb95-4ffeca6357b5\"} --><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Going against gravity<\/h3><p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824955,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"fb039fa6-b936-49a0-9d72-2dcf62e68454\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824955\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Last-Tarvo-MX-bar-and-stem.jpg\" alt=\"Last Tarvo MX full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The low-rise carbon bar and alloy stem from Newmen add cost that could easily be saved without impacting the ride quality of the Tarvo MX.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"dbec9b96-f82f-4609-ae4d-f3cccb7c1fe3\"} --><\/p><p>There\u2019s no getting away from just how flickable and fun both of these bikes are. Rip into a flow trail, jump line or trail-centre descent and it\u2019s easy to pick up and place the tyres almost exactly where you want them.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"2cfd12f0-e75e-41fa-8151-7ba16d8d3ad2\"} --><\/p><p>Although the slightly more compact rear end and smaller wheel of the Tarvo MX make it a touch easier to manual, I had no issues chucking the One77 around when I wanted to.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"e0cbc4db-8fc6-429b-811a-2f9b44d2cf1a\"} --><\/p><p>Both bikes are reactive and agile, making them a blast to play around on as you speed down the hill.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824948,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"932c4d9d-faa1-48b7-933f-e2f3e1d2f6dd\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824948\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Cube-Stereo-One77-rear-tyre.jpg\" alt=\"Cube Stereo One77 C:68X SLX 29 full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">At the rear of the One77, Cube has opted for the lighter Super Trail casing, rather than the tougher Super Gravity used on the Last&#8217;s rear tyre.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"323940a1-8014-4b91-9d6f-bd5dd8208dd8\"} --><\/p><p>Stick a jump in their way and they\u2019ll eagerly be thrown sideways if you\u2019re willing to risk it.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"9257b898-5856-42bc-ad01-f1bb5361d48c\"} --><\/p><p>While the Cube has a touch more pop to it, the progressive nature of the Tarvo MX means there\u2019s still support in the rear suspension when you need to load the bike up on a lip and send it.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"58c0b081-bad3-4ab2-9984-ff48b86ed7f2\"} --><\/p><p>On tighter, more technical trails, the Last feels impressive in how quick it is to slow down then accelerate back up to speed.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824958,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"b503978e-7d35-43bd-b139-b30195b8daf5\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824958\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Last-Tarvo-MX-climb-switch.jpg\" alt=\"Last Tarvo MX full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">You might find yourself reaching for the low-speed compression lever on the shock to help make the Last a more efficient climber.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"1ac4c1ef-44b8-48be-927a-45ca4762814d\"} --><\/p><p>The Tarvo seems happiest when it&#8217;s dodging, ducking, dipping, diving and dodging some more.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"9bdd7f69-3cbb-4f48-b47c-ae6eb874e90b\"} --><\/p><p>The Cube and its bigger wheels feel keen to maintain a more consistent pace just about everywhere. This bike feels fast and easy to ride quickly from the get-go.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"00423ee4-2064-465a-8758-1fcbda17f9f7\"} --><\/p><p>Slapping through jagged, steep turns, it feels more direct than the Last, with more feedback through the Race Face bar and chassis.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:image {\"id\":824947,\"sizeSlug\":\"full\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\",\"purpleId\":\"1444e9a3-764c-4fd1-8c88-2afd186ef0a9\"} --><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" class=\"wp-image-824947\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/04\/Cube-Stereo-One77-post.jpg\" alt=\"Cube Stereo One77 C:68X SLX 29 full suspension mountain bike\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Fox&#8217;s Transfer Factory post proved to be dependable throughout testing.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"79696384-cc11-4613-a557-e10a1ca202da\"} --><\/p><p>When really pushing, I could feel the Super Trail casing of the Schwalbe rear tyre starting to squirm, so added a little more pressure.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"ce595fa6-c7d0-41b8-8a62-1ee9df58a8b8\"} --><\/p><p>That extra pressure resulted in the rear end giving up grip a little more readily when compared to the Last, which felt more planted through the turns.<\/p><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p><p><!-- wp:paragraph {\"purpleId\":\"4787fcdf-b75b-4827-a621-0c33b4a2d295\"} --><\/p><p>It\u2019s not all plain sailing for the Last on these types of trails though. Possibly.
