This reduces pedal kickback to provide more supple suspension performance.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/05\/O5A9758.jpg\" alt=\"Alex Storr's Forbidden Supernought with modular dropouts at Red Bull Hardline 2024\" class=\"wp-image-865654\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The dropouts are easily replaced. &#8211; Nick Clark \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Like many of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-downhill-mountain-bikes\">best downhill bikes<\/a>, the Supernaught features an array of geometry adjustments. <\/p><p>Modular dropouts enable Storr to adjust the rear centre by +\/-10mm from a neutral position.<\/p><p>This also gives the option of running the bike in a mullet setup, which Storr has decided to use for Hardline.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/05\/O5A9756.jpg\" alt=\"Alex Storr's Forbidden Supernought with RockShox Boxxer Ultimate at Red Bull Hardline 2024\" class=\"wp-image-865652\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Supernought features an 80s-inspired colourway. &#8211; Nick Clark \/ Our Media<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Storr is running a 200mm RockShox Boxxer Ultimate up front with 170psi and three tokens. A Vivid Ultimate Coil with a 450lb spring controls the 205mm travel rear end.<\/p><p>The bike rolls on Crankbrothers Synthesis DH 11 carbon rims laced to Chris King hubs and booted with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/maxxis-mountain-bike-tyres-guide\">Maxxis rubber<\/a>.<\/p><p>He&#8217;s running an Assegai inflated to 23 psi on the front and a DHR II with 26 psi on the rear.
