This offers \u201cuncluttered cockpit aesthetics and improved aero performance\u201d according to Giant, although we know it won&#8217;t be popular with all riders.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/07\/New-Giant-Revolt-gravel-bike-3.jpg\" alt=\"New Giant Revolt gravel bike \u2013 down tube storage detail\" class=\"wp-image-870175\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tools and spares can be stored inside the down tube. &#8211; Giant<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The Revolt also now has integrated down tube storage. This is accessed via a locking lid beneath the bottle cage mounts. Giant hasn\u2019t specified the capacity of the storage chamber.<\/p><p>With the exception of these new features, the new Revolt\u2019s silhouette is nearly identical to the outgoing bike.\u00a0<\/p><p>Comparing the two bikes side-by-side, the down tube appears marginally beefier and the raised seat cluster is also less pronounced, but there\u2019s very little in it.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/07\/New-Giant-Revolt-gravel-bike-5.jpg\" alt=\"New Giant Revolt gravel bike \u2013 D-Fuse seatpost\" class=\"wp-image-870173\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The latest super-slim D-Fuse seatpost was introduced on the latest Defy. &#8211; Giant<\/figcaption><\/figure><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-slimmer-seatpost\">Slimmer seatpost<\/h2><p>The new Revolt adopts the D-Fust seatpost first seen on the Defy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/reviews\/bikes\/road-bikes\/2024-giant-defy-advanced-pro-2-review\">our 2024 Road Bike of the Year<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p><p>This is slimmed and flattened from its D-shaped profile just below the saddle clamp to improve rear-end compliance, according to Giant.<\/p><p>A conventional 30.9mm-diameter round <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/seatposts\">seatpost<\/a> (including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-dropper-posts\">dropper posts<\/a>) can also be used with a shim.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/07\/New-Giant-Revolt-gravel-bike-4.jpg\" alt=\"New Giant Revolt gravel bike \u2013 flip chip details\" class=\"wp-image-870174\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The new Revolt has clearance for 53mm tyres in the &#8216;long&#8217; setting. &#8211; Giant<\/figcaption><\/figure><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/flip-chips\">Flip chips<\/a>, which provide 10mm of fore and aft chainstay length adjustment, carry over from the last bike.
