{"id":68371,"date":"2024-08-21T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-21T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a2665b6b-d4f2-4962-bc56-030782f582b4"},"modified":"2024-08-21T11:25:32","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T09:25:32","slug":"upgrade-to-a-1x-sram-xplr-drivetrain-without-replacing-your-derailleur-with-this-conversion-kit-from-ratio","status":"publish","type":"rss_feed","link":"https:\/\/c01.purpledshub.com\/cyclingplus\/rss_feed\/upgrade-to-a-1x-sram-xplr-drivetrain-without-replacing-your-derailleur-with-this-conversion-kit-from-ratio\/","title":{"rendered":"Upgrade to a 1x SRAM XPLR drivetrain\u00a0without replacing your derailleur with this conversion kit from Ratio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rssexcerpt\">Ratio Technologies launches new derailleur upgrade kit <\/p><p class=\"rssauthor\">By Oscar Huckle\n      <\/p><p class=\"rssbyline\">Published: Wednesday, 21 August 2024 at 09:00 AM<\/p><hr class=\"no-tts wp-block-separator\"\/><?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" standalone=\"yes\"?>\n<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><body><p>Ratio Technologies&#8217; new upgrade enables you to convert your bike to a 1x SRAM XPLR drivetrain without replacing your rear derailleur.\u00a0<\/p><p>Instead, you only need to replace the chain and cassette to turn your 33 or 36t max-capacity 12-speed mechanical SRAM AXS road rear derailleur into a 1x-specific XPLR version.\u00a0<\/p><p>The upgrade kit enabled you to run up to a 45t cassette \u2013 marginally more generous than SRAM\u2019s 44t capacity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>The Ratio SR45X cage extends the derailleur\u2019s B-knuckle while the cage introduces an offset upper pulley wheel.\u00a0<\/p><p>The upgrade kit could also be a good option if you\u2019ve damaged an XPLR derailleur \u2013 SRAM doesn\u2019t currently offer a replacement cage for these derailleurs.\u00a0<\/p><p>The SR45X Link will retail for \u00a3104.50 including a link or \u00a394.50 for the cage only (international shipping available).<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-s-included-in-the-kit-nbsp\">What\u2019s included in the kit?\u00a0<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">These are the parts you get in the kit. &#8211; Ratio Technologies<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The new cage uses a 12t upper and a larger 14th lower pulley identical in size to those found on Ratio\u2019s cages for SRAM Eagle rear derailleurs.\u00a0<\/p><p>The cage includes 7075 aluminium plates and acetal thermoplastic pulleys.
