These dahlia tubers are nurtured in organic growing to the highest standard. Passionate about a new global ecological footprint, Organic Bulbs founders Lulu Urquhart & Adam Hunt, believe that growing organically is one way to change the way we treat the soil and the earth; good horticultural natural practises, no chemicals in production leaching into the soil and water table, reducing chemicals in the earth and the insect food chain and reducing immune immobilisation from trace uptake. Ethical blooms without harming biodiversity.
Each season they aim to broaden the choice of organically grown cultivars available and are delighted to offer five new collections in a range of tonal palettes to compliment and refresh existing planting schemes and inspire the new! Plant from April-June after all risk of frost has passed. Flowering from July – November.
Fresh Collection
In shades of bright and fresh creamy white this collection will bring light and vibrancy to the middle or back of a mixed / herbaceous border to compliment a naturalist planting scheme if used with tall grasses and perennials.
Summer Solstice Collection
In sunset shades of warm peachy pink and apricot to sunburst vibrant red and glowing yellow, this collection will magnetise bees and butterflies and work beautifully with the glowing morning and evening light of summer.
Ruby Collection
Delightful twin toned chrysanthemum petals in shades of red and deep crimson, contrast with dramatic fiery red against dark velvety blooms, this collection will enliven any border until the late summer where their autumnal hues will deepen majestically.
Lavender Collection
Dahlia ‘Arabian Nights’ Dahlia ‘Menorca’ Decorative 90-120cm Decorative 45-55cm
This collection offers a wonderful combination of scale, form and texture where a huge heirloom variety floats amidst a joyful abundance of small and perfectly formed Pompon blooms, that sway on slender stems in shades of lilac, soft lavender and deep raspberry.
Single-flower for Pollinators Collection
The single-flowered dahlias are the most attractive to our pollinating friends for their large open flower heads provide excellent landing pads for butterflies and bees to drink their fill of chemical free pollen. In tones of hot pink and raspberry.
