The medals for this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens have been announced, including six gold medals, three silver gilt and four silver in the Show Gardens category, three gold in the Balcony and Container and All About Plants Category and four gold in the Sanctuary Gardens category.
The Chelsea Flower Show opened its doors to the public this morning, just as the medals were awarded to the gardens and designers.
SHOW GARDENS MEDAL WINNERS
Winning gold this year in the Show Gardens category is:
A Rewilding Britain Landscape, designed by Urquhart & Hunt Landscape Design
The Mind Garden, designed by Andy Sturgeon for Crocus
The Morris and Co Garden designed by Ruth Willmott Associates
The RNLI Garden designed by Chris Beardshaw
The MEDITE SMARTPLY Building the Future garden by Sarah Eberle
The Meta Garden: Growing the Future designed by Joe Perkins.
Silver Gilt winners are:
The New Blue Peter Garden: Discover Soil, designed by Juliet Sargeant
The Alder Hey Urban Foraging Station, designed by Howard and Hugh Miller
Hands Off Mangrove, designed by Tayshan Hayden-Smith and Danny Clarke
The gardens with a silver medal are:
Brewin Dolphin Garden from Paul Hervey-Brookes
The Perennial Garden ‘With Love’ from Richard Miers

The SSAFA Garden designed by Amanda Waring won Silver alongside The Stitchers’ Garden by Frederic Whyte and A Swiss Sanctuary by Lilly Gomm won Bronze.
Chris Beardshaw’s gold is his 14th at Chelsea Flower Show. The full list of Best in Shows will be released at midday today.
Winning gold in this category are
The Still Garden, from Jane Porter, The Wilderness Foundation UK Garden from Charlie Hawkes and The Core Arts Front Garden Revolution from Andy Smith-Williams.
Silver Gilt winners were The Potting Balcony Garden, The Cirrus Garden, the Wild Kitchen Garden, The Enchanted Rain Garden, A Textile Garden for Fashion Revolution.
