The full shortlist for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year competition has been announced.
Nineteen new plants, including one that will remain a mystery until press day on 22 May, that have been developed in the last year by breeders and nurseries, have been chosen for the list, and all the shortlisted plants will go on display at the Great Pavilion throughout the Chelsea Flower Show this year.
The winning entry will be selected during the show.
The shortlist this year includes two new wallflowers and a striking orange Geum as well as a new lavender and a yellow plum tomato. Last year, Surreal Succulents won Plant of the Year 2022 with × Semponium ‘Destiny’.
