The full shortlist for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show<\/a> Plant of the Year competition has been announced.<\/p>\n

Twenty new plants, developed in the last year by breeders and nurseries, have been chosen for the list, and all the shortlisted plants will go on display at the Great Pavilion throughout the Chelsea Flower Show this year.<\/p>\n

The winning entry is selected by a panel of over 100 plant experts, and will be announced on the afternoon of Monday 23 May.<\/p>\n

The shortlisted entries this year include Rosa<\/em> Elizabeth \u2018Ausmajesty\u2019 by David Austin Roses and Geranium<\/em> x cantabrigiense<\/em> \u2018Intense\u2019 by RHS Chelsea exhibitors Moore and Moore Plants.<\/p>\n
Stonebarn Landscapes, which won last year\u2019s Plant of the Year<\/a>, has three entries on the list this year including Brassica oleracea<\/em> (Italica Group) \u2018Purpleicious\u2019.<\/p>\n
