It\u2019s a medium-sized shrub with glossy leaves that turn wine-red in autumn. Large clusters of ornamental <a href=\"\/\/www.gardensillustrated.com\/plants\/plants-for-birds-best\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">berries<\/a>, which mature from pale-green through white, pink and blue to black, remain after the leaves have fallen.
