Visitors to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show<\/a> this year can expect, among many other highlights, to see some royal tributes celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation of King Charles III.<\/p>\n The royal family, particularly the late Queen Elizabeth, have a long history of visiting the showground. The Queen visited Chelsea<\/a> in 2022, and over 50 times previously in her 70-year reign. Helena Pettit, RHS Director of Shows and Gardens said that the Queen\u2019s absence would be \u201cprofoundly felt by many,\u201d but hopes that this year\u2019s royal tributes will \u201chelp keep those happy memories alive.\u201d<\/p>\n Take a look at this piece on royals at Chelsea over the years<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Designer Dave Green has created a garden featuring a palette of light pinks and whites, enclosed by hedging<\/a> to create a space for contemplation. Rose \u2018Olivia Austin\u2019 and silver birches will be featured to reflect Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s tastes. Also included will be blues, purples and pinks such as magnolia<\/a> \u2018Heaven Scent,\u2019 clematis \u2018Duchess of Cornwall,\u2019 lupins and geraniums to represent the King\u2019s preferences according to Sandringham\u2019s Head Gardener, Jack Lingfield.<\/p>\n Also featured in the garden there will be drifts of Camassia<\/em><\/a>, reminiscent of the meadows in front of Highgrove House as well as a bronze statue of the King and several woodland trees. Specialist growers including Raymond Evison, Hare Spring Cottage Plants and David Austin will be providing the plants.<\/p>\n In the Great Pavilion at Chelsea, Agrumi Topiary Art will be creating a display depicting \u2018Emma,\u2019 the fell pony who stood to attention along the drive of Windsor Castle to pay her respects at the Queen\u2019s cortege passed on the day of the funeral.<\/p>\n The Queen\u2019s funeral flowers<\/a> were highly regarded.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Harkness Roses will be creating a display inspired by the British flag as a celebration of the coronation of King Charles III.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re hoping to celebrate the coronation, why not attend one of these coronation garden events<\/a>.
