The winner of Best In Show has been announced at RHS Chelsea Flower Show<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

The Show Garden<\/a> that has taken the top accolade at Chelsea is Horatio\u2019s Garden<\/a>, designed by Harris Bugg Studio, Charlotte Harris<\/a> and Hugo Bugg.<\/p>\n

The garden itself is the first ever Main Avenue garden to deal with accessibility and putting people with accessible needs at the heart of the design.<\/p>\n

The garden has a cooling woodland feel \u2013 dappled shade with pockets of sunlight \u2013 and features trees including acers and birches, including lesser-known hardy geraniums, such as Geranium nodosum<\/em> \u2018Tony\u2019s Talisman\u2019, as well as aquilegias, martagon lilies, amsonias and Aruncus<\/em> \u2018Horatio\u2019. It features a timber-shingle-clad garden shelter, created with architect Andrew Mcmullan, who designed the pipeline sculptures in Harris Bugg\u2019s 2021 Chelsea garden. Inside there is new artwork of 1,000 thumbprints in clay \u2013 a collaborative piece that speaks to the inclusive nature of the design.<\/p>\n

The list of medal winners<\/a> was also announced today, with gold medals going to Horatio\u2019s Garden as well as Cleve West\u2019s garden for Centrepoint, Sarah Price\u2019s Nurture Landscapes Garden, Jihae Hwang\u2019s garden for Hoban Cultural Foundation and Chris Beardshaw\u2019s garden for Myeloma UK.<\/p>\n
