Casey Brown is a certified badass. Not only has she raced downhill and enduro to Elite level, twice been crowned Queen of Crankworx, and featured in several big-budget MTB films, but she\u2019s done it all with a style few can match. Before Casey came along, female freeriders didn\u2019t seem to exist, but when she started throwing it sideways in whip-off comps and starring in major videos it paved the way for others to follow. These days we\u2019re seeing loads more women riders stepping up and showing what they\u2019re capable of away from the racetrack, and it was arguably Casey who first blazed the trail.<\/p>\n\n<hr\/><p><strong>Who is Casey Brown?<\/strong><br\/>\nI\u2019m a mountain bike athlete living in Revelstoke, British Columbia, with a black dog named Snuffy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you do?<\/strong><br\/>\nI compete at Crankworx, and I film the sweet trips I take all over the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you get into bikes?<\/strong><br\/>\nI moved to Canada from New Zealand when I was 11, and shortly after that I got my first mountain bike, to chase my brother and dad around the trails on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What was your first bike?<\/strong><br\/>\nMy first real mountain bike was a GT Avalanche with a RockShox Judy fork.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current go-to ride?<\/strong><br\/>\nAt the moment, it\u2019s definitely my Trek Remedy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What gets you excited to ride?<\/strong><br\/>\nFresh trails and good friends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scariest thing you\u2019ve done on a bike?<\/strong><br\/>\nCorbet\u2019s Couloir. [An iconic ski run in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which in the winter requires you to send it off a 20ft cornice into a snow gully between narrow cliffs. I got a grade-four liver laceration and spent five days in intensive care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biggest ride of your life?<\/strong><br\/>\nAn eight-day traverse over the Himalayas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How far can you wheelie?<\/strong><br\/>\nNot far, like 25ft<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who\u2019s the rider you most like to watch?<\/strong><br\/>\nBrett Rheeder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Favourite bike
