The market for at-home pizza ovens is thriving and it doesn’t look like the popularity will fade any time soon. Out of all the pizza oven brands on the market Ooni is one of the best-known, with a variety of models depending on what type of pizza oven you want.

There are lots of factors to consider when choosing which Ooni pizza oven you’d like to go for, but one of the most important is fuel type. Some pizza ovens run off gas and need to be connected to a canister, while others are wood-fired which brings an authentic flavour to the pizzas. Indoor pizza ovens, like the Volt 12 are electric and will need to be plugged in. There are also multi-fuel options which offer maximum versatility and can be used with gas or wood to achieve the cooking result you want.

Amazon Big Deal days, which take place on 11 October and 12 October, mark the beginning of the biggest sales period of the year, leading up to November’s Black Friday sales. We are seeing some great deals across Ooni products both on individual pizza ovens and bundles.

It can be hard to cut through the noise and get a slice of the action when it comes to deals. Our expert review team are here to help, with experience testing hundreds of products across categories like value for more, sustainability, ease of use and versatility.

Ooni pizza oven deals at a glance

When you’re on the look out for Ooni pizza oven deals, remember that pricing around sales events can be quite volatile with retailers lowering or raising their prices to stay in line with competitors. This means it’s always worth shopping around before you settle on a deal. There are also shopper-friendly additions like loyalty schemes or free next-day delivery which are available at some retailers and worth bearing in mind.

We’ve also seen some pizza ovens going out of stock, so if you’re worried about the availability of a particular model we recommend buying as soon as it’s reached a price you’re comfortable with to avoid disappointment.

Ooni pizza oven deals

Ooni Karu 16

Best multi-fuel pizza oven

Ooni Karu 16 pizza oven

Star rating: 4.5/5

A great option if you’re cooking for a crowd, we found the Karu 16 was extremely quick cooking our pizza in under a minute. We enjoyed the pizza which had a fluffy crust with the tell-tale charred spots you can only achieve in a pizza oven.

This pizza oven has a versatility which impressed us on test, with the ability to cook using wood, charcoal or gas. The glass door means that you can check on how the pizza was cooking without losing heat by opening the door which we found helped us to get a more even bake on our pizzas. It is larger than many other Ooni ovens with the ability to fit a 16” pizza. We also liked how easy it was to assemble and operate.

Ooni Koda 16

Ooni Koda 16 pizza oven

Star rating: 4.5/5

The Koda 16 is a gas-fuelled pizza oven and weighs 18.2kg, which means it takes quite some effort to move around. It uses an L-shaped flame to ensure even cooking, but be aware that when we tested other Ooni models with this same flame technology we found the pizza burnt very easily, so it’s best to keep an eye on it while you’re cooking, turning the pizza as often as necessary.

Because of the gas fuel, this model doesn’t have the distinctive chimney featured on Ooni’s multi-fuel and wood-fired models. This results in a much sleeker look, which makes it an elegant and understated addition to a garden.

Ooni Koda 12

Best pizza oven for small spaces

Ooni Koda 12 pizza oven

Star rating: 4.5/5

This pizza oven is modest and compact, with room to cook a 12” pizza. Because of the compact nature of this model, the opening of the pizza oven is quite tight, but on test we discovered that with a deft flick of the wrist we got the hang of accurately launching our pizzas after a few attempts.

While Ooni claims this oven can cook a pizza in 60 seconds, we found a better technique was to cook for slightly longer with the stone at the slightly lower temperature of 450C which facilitated a more controlled cooking environment and meant our pizzas were more evenly cooked.

When we tested the Koda 12, we found it impressive and easy to set up and was lightweight enough for us to move it with ease. Overall, this is an accomplished pizza oven and would make a great addition to your garden, especially if you’re limited on space.

Ooni Volt 12

Best mess-free pizza oven

Ooni Volt 12 pizza oven

Star rating: 4/5

The Volt 12 uses electricity rather than wood or gas — the first pizza oven with this design on sale in the UK. It is able to reach an internal temperature of 450C while also being suitable for indoor use, so if it’s not warm enough for standing outdoors, or if you’d rather avoid the potential mess of wood-fired and gas-fuelled options, this is the pizza oven for you.

We were very impressed by the speed of this pizza oven when we tested it. Once it was up to temperature our pizzas consistently cooked in 2 minutes 30 seconds, with an impressively puffed up crust and deliciously crispy toppings — a result which would be near impossible to achieve in a standard electric oven.

The oven is fairly bulky and won’t sit on most standard kitchen countertops, so you will need a designated space with a safe perimeter around the oven. The design is modern and sturdy with a matte shell, tempered glass door and intuitive controls.

How to get a good deal on an Ooni pizza oven

With so many different deals out there, it can be hard to know if you’re making a real saving. Our experts are here to help, with years of experience sorting the deals from the duds to help you get a good saving.

The best piece of advice we can give is from the Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, who said: “If you were going to buy it anyway and it’s half price, you’ve saved 50 per cent. If you weren’t going to buy it, but do because it’s half price you’ve wasted 100 per cent.”

Reading reviews can be helpful in deciding between the pros and cons of different machines, and luckily we’ve tested a whole selection of Ooni pizza ovens to help you find the right one.

The first thing we look for in a good deal is how much the saving is, both as a sum of money but also as a percentage of the original cost. Broadly, we consider a saving of over 20 per cent to be a good deal, but there are always other factors to consider.

Bundles can be a great way of making a saving, especially if you haven’t owned a pizza oven before. These often include items like covers, stand or peels which are vital pieces of kit for using your pizza oven, as well as storing it safely to make sure it stays in good condition.

How do we select Ooni pizza oven deals?

Our experts have experience hunting for deals across all the biggest sales events and know how to cut through the noise to find the best savings. The first thing we look at when finding deals is the retailer — we always recommend shopping via a trusted retailer rather than an unknown name where you might be at risk of scams.

Over recent years we’ve seen a rise in the number of false deals around, especially when it comes to trending models like Ooni. Our best advice is that if a deal seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Visiting a retailer’s ‘About Us’ section can be a good way to find out more, but if anything doesn’t feel right we’d recommend not purchasing through that site.
