It’s time to see a bunch of celebs embarrassing themselves in the Bake Off tent, as The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2022 kicks off on Channel 4.

Stepping into the famous tent for week 1 is former Strictly star Clara Amfo, The Voice UK presenter Emma Willis, Taskmaster’s Alex Horne and Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison.

The bakers will take on one Signature, Technical and Showstopper challenge set by the show’s judges, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, and at the end of each episode, one person will be named star baker.

Hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas will cheer them on (or console them) along the way, as they show off their baking skills in a bid to raise money for Stand Up to Cancer.

So, what time does it start? And what can viewers expect?

As the series begins, here’s everything you need to know about The Great Celebrity Bake, including who all the cast are in this year’s line-up.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2022 release date

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer season 5 begins on Tuesday 22nd March at 8pm on Channel 4.

The first four celebrities will take to the kitchen in week 1 for a Signature Challenge, which will require them to make 12 animal-shaped biscuits, a blind Technical, and a choux sculpture Showstopper. At the end of the episode, one of them will be named Star Baker – but who will it be?

The five-part season will air on Tuesday each week, with the last episode in the season taking place on Tuesday 19th April, so that’s our Tuesday plans sorted for the next five weeks!

It’s time to unite and raise some dough for a great cause.
