ITV’s The Chase, hosted by Doctor Who’s Bradley Walsh, has been a weekday staple since 2009. However, it is missing from today’s TV schedules.

Following in the BBC‘s footsteps, ITV has cancelled its regular scheduled programming to make way for a special news show amid concerns for the Queen’s health.

It comes after Buckingham Palace confirmed the Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral earlier today (8th September).

The Chase, which usually airs at 5pm, has been cancelled today.

Instead, an ITV News Special will air in its place, and will also air during the 6pm slot usually reserved for Local News & Weather.

ITV soap Emmerdale is currently set to air in its scheduled slot at 7:30pm.

Earlier today, a statement from Buckingham Palace read: “Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

When is The Chase next on TV?

The Chase is expected to be back in its regular 5pm slot tomorrow (Friday 8th September) on ITV.
