It’s a kind of magic.
It seems like a lifetime since the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy. Now, however, after numerous delays we’re in the final stretch, with the game set to land on 10th February (that’s just a week away!).
This release date is for the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, with other platforms to come later. However, there is a way you can play the game before the 10th. This Hogwarts Legacy early access won’t be free, but if you’re as impatient as us to get back to the Wizarding World, it might be worth it.
We’ll share how to get the Hogwarts Legacy early access below, along with all the details of exactly when it kicks off!
How to get Hogwarts Legacy early access
To get Hogwarts Legacy early access, you need to pre-order either the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or the Collector’s Edition.
The Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition price is £74.99 on consoles — the PlayStation version is in stock at GAME, while the Xbox version is listed at Amazon — and £59.99 on PC via Steam.

As well as early access to the game itself, the Deluxe Edition also comes with:
- Thestral Mount
- Dark Arts Battle Arena
- Dark Arts Cosmetic Set
Now for the Collector’s Edition – which comes in at an eye-watering £274.99, exclusively on GAME. Be warned however, at time of writing, the PS5 version was out of stock!
As well as coming in a big box, and including everything that you get with the Deluxe version, this expensive merch-heavy version includes:
- Life-Size Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book Base
- Steel Case
- Kelpie Robe
When is the Hogwarts Legacy early access start time?
Here in the UK, Hogwarts Legacy early access will start at midnight GMT as the clock ticks over to Tuesday 7th February. So if you’re a night owl (or just so excited you can’t sleep), then you can start playing at midnight!
