The brand-new drama has an enormous cast filled with acclaimed actors.
On 26th November 1983, half a dozen men broke into the Brink’s-Mat depot near London’s Heathrow Airport and stumbled upon gold bullion worth £26 million.
The robbery became a seminal event in British criminal history, altering policing forever.
Now, the true story is being dramatised in new BBC drama The Gold, which depicts the cat-and-mouse chase between the robbers and the special task force trying to catch them, with various twists and turns leading up to an epic finale.
The Gold boasts an all-star cast, featuring actors including Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Dominic Cooper and Charlotte Spencer.
Major supporting roles are also filled out by the likes of Sean Harris and Peter Davison.
