World No.1 Iga Swiatek starts the weekend with a clash against Coco Gauff, who is tipped to soar in 2023 and beyond.

No.3 seed Jessica Pegula is pitted against former French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova in the semi-finals. Whatever happens on Saturday, Sunday’s final is set to provide an epic showdown.

No.2 Aryna Sabalenka, who won in Australia, fell to Krejcikova in the quarter-finals and has therefore failed to capitalise on a potential opportunity to rack up major points.
