Burnley are thrown into the deep end after being handed the Vincent Kompany derby against Premier League winners Manchester City to kick off proceedings, last season’s runners-up Arsenal begin their title push at home to Nottingham Forest.
The standout match of the first matchweek features two clubs with plenty to prove, as Mauricio Pochettino takes charge of Chelsea for the first time with Liverpool the visitors to Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League on TV schedule has been announced up to the start of October and every team is set to strut their stuff in front of the cameras at least once in that period. Play-off winners Luton Town have to wait until the third weekend of the season for their live television debut as a Premier League club, while fellow promoted side Sheffield United welcome the broadcasters for consecutive weekends when Manchester City and Everton make trips to Bramall Lane.

An early contender for game of the season could take place on the final Super Sunday before the first international break of the campaign when Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
It’s all change across the key broadcasters for the Premier League in the UK, with BT Sport to be rebranded and relaunched as TNT Sports with a new lead anchor to be installed, while Sky Sports have replaced veteran star Martin Tyler with Peter Drury at the helm of their commentary team.
