The first Cities: Skylines is a favourite of ours. When it comes to building and management sims, we haven’t played a game that tops it… for now.

Because the sequel is within our grasps! If you’re out of the know, the Cities: Skylines release date might be closer than you think.

We’ve been promised a lot by the devs. Not only will the mechanics receive an upgrade, but the limits of our cities will be endless.

Whether you’ve sunk hours into the first game, or you’re completely new to Cities: Skylines, we recommend checking this one out.

But when’s it coming out? Can we preorder, and is it a PC exclusive or can we play on consoles, too?

We’ll share everything we know about Cities: Skylines 2 below – and throw in a trailer for good measure!

When is the Cities: Skylines 2 release date?

Great news, city planners! Cities: Skylines 2 releases today, 24th October 2023!

This is much earlier than we thought, with a vague 2023 window announced earlier this year.

What is the UK launch time for Cities: Skylines 2?

But when can we Brits get our hands on it? Well, the wait is almost over – Cities: Skylines 2 drops at 5pm BST.

It should be ready to download right after you finish work! But what are our options for purchasing it? Let’s take a look.

Can I pre-order Cities: Skylines 2?

You can pre-order Cities: Skylines 2 on GAME for £59.99.

If you’re after the PC version of the game, you can wishlist it on Steam.

Which consoles and platforms can play Cities: Skylines 2?

Cities: Skylines 2 is scheduled to release on PC via Steam, on Xbox Series X/S and on PS5. Sadly, there is no sign of the game on PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch.

We likely won’t see the game released on previous-gen consoles, as they probably aren’t powerful enough to run the game in an acceptable manner.
