A coronavirus update is set to take place on Tuesday 14th September (tomorrow), with Boris Johnson expected to lead the televised conference.

Ahead of the briefing, the Prime Minister will unveil the Government’s COVID winter plan in the House of Commons. The plan will outline how the Government plans to tackle the ongoing pandemic in the coming months.

It is expected there will be a part repeal of the Coronavirus Act, the legislation that has allowed for the introduction and maintenance of COVID restrictions.

Johnson was discharged on Sunday 12th April and returned to work on the week commencing 27th April.

In November 2020, he underwent another period of self-isolation after coming into contact with someone who tested positive.
