Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer looks set for award season glory following victories at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.
And now, the film has bagged 13 BAFTA nominations – up for Best Film, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Leading Actor for Cillian Murphy, Supporting Actress for Emily Blunt, Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr, Costume Design, Makeup and Hair, Cinematography, Editing, Original Score, Production Design, and Sound.
Nolan has been nominated eight times for previous projects including Inception and Dunkirk, but is yet to win either a BAFTA or an Oscar.

Where to watch Oppenheimer in the UK
Oppenheimer is available to rent or purchase on-demand on various streaming platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV, YouTube, Vudu, Xfinity, Microsoft, and Verizon.
Oppenheimer was released in cinemas on Friday 21st July 2023, three years after Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi film Tenet, and is still available to watch in select cinemas.
When will Oppenheimer be released on streaming in the UK?
Oppenheimer is a Universal production and is now available to stream on Peacock in the US.
The film will become available to watch in the UK on NOW TV from 12th April 2024 at no extra cost to subscribers.
NOW customers will need an Entertainment Pass to access Peacock through the streaming platform, which costs £9.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial available for all first-time subscribers.
Oppenheimer DVD and Blu-ray release date
Oppenheimer dropped on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD from Tuesday 22nd November 2023, with over three hours of special features.
