Sheffield United will look to build on just their third Premier League victory of the season – and their first since the start of December – when they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

The Blades beat relegation rivals Luton Town 3-1 last weekend to breathe a little more life into their slim survival hopes – with Chris Wilder’s side still bottom of the table and seven points adrift of safety.

They’re now aiming to achieve something they’ve failed to in 2023/24, win back-to-back games, and do so against a side that put five past them in the FA Cup last month.

A lengthy injury list is not likely to make things any easier for them.

Brighton were denied a point by Brennan Johnson’s 95th-minute winner in their 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur a week ago, but are enjoying an impressive season – ninth in the table and still in pursuit of a European place.

It was João Pedro who did the damage when they met in January, scoring a hat-trick in a 5-3 win, but the Seagulls will be without the Brazilian, who is on a list of injured players that includes James Milner, Julio Enciso and Solly March.
