The comedy series arrives on Apple TV+ this Friday.
This week sees the release of brand new British comedy series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin on Apple TV+, and star Noel Fielding and his castmates have introduced the series in a new behind-the-scenes featurette.
In the clip, which has been provided exclusively to RadioTimes.com, the cast and crew explain that the show is a fictional take on the real highwayman Dick Turpin, with stars such as Greg Davies, Jessica Hynes, Tamsin Greig and Hugh Bonneville introducing the world.
The clip also features a host of new clips from the six-part series, featuring carriage chases, daring heists and even some supernatural goings-on.

Fielding previously spoke about the show at a press conference, calling it a return to more Monty Python-esque comedy, rather than more naturalistic series we’ve seen such as The Office.
He explained: “I think it’s maybe a return to British comedy in line with Monty Python, Spike Milligan, Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Vic Reeves, Chris Morris – it’s more that kind of ilk.
“Obviously, The Office is amazing and I love The Office, but I guess that spawned millions of other shows that were like that – very real and awkward. And this is much more visual and whimsical and joyful.”

The official synopsis for the series says: “In The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, Dick Turpin (Noel Fielding) sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws — and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde (Hugh Bonneville).
“In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Turpin is the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship and great hair.
“Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin rides the highs and lows of his new endeavours, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the thief-taker.”
The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin premieres globally with the first two episodes on Friday 1st March 2024, followed by new episodes weekly, every Friday exclusively on Apple TV+. Sign up to Apple TV+ now.
