Innersloth has finally announced the Among Us PS4 release date, which is the same day on which the game will hit PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Plus, some players will get a special plush toy with their pre-order.

Among Us is a popular party game that pits players against each other in a quest to find the imposter on their spaceship, and players on PlayStation and Xbox consoles have been waiting patiently for their chance to play it.

If you’re one of those players who’ve been waiting for a chance to play Among Us on PS4, Xbox One, PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, read on for the all-important release date.

When is the Among Us PS4 release date?

When will Among Us be on PS4 and PS5? There’s not long left to wait!

The Among Us PS4 release date will take place on 14th December 2021 in the UK and Europe. This is the day on which the Among Us: Crewmate Edition will arrive on our shores, allowing PlayStation fans to jump into the game on PS4 or PS5.

Players in South Korea and Japan will have to wait until 16th December to play Among Us on PlayStation, while gamers in the USA, Canada and Latin America will have to wait until 11th January 2022.

When is the Among Us Xbox release date?

Those same dates apply to Xbox fans. The Among Us Xbox release date will take place on 14th December 2021 in the UK and Europe, 16th December in Japan and South Korea, and 11th January in the USA, Canada and Latin America. On those dates, you’ll be able to get the Among Us: Crewmate Edition, which can run on Xbox One, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S.

Different Among Us versions explained – which ones have the plush?

There are actually three different versions of Among Us coming to PS4 and Xbox – the Crewmate Edition, the Impostor Edition and the Ejected Edition. This is what you get with each one:

Among Us Crewmate Edition

The Among Us: Crewmate Edition launches on 14th December for £27.99. It includes the Among Us base game, all its DLC and some ‘retail exclusive downloadable content,’ as well as a sticker sheet, a 3D Lenticular Case, one of 12 Special holographic access cards, a folded Skeld map poster and a redeemable code for six phone/PC wallpapers.

Among Us Impostor Edition

The Among Us: Impostor Edition launches Spring 2022 for £44.99. It includes everything you get in the Crewmate edition as well as a lanyard and a purple crewmate plush.

Among Us Ejected Edition

The Among Us: Ejected Edition launches Spring 2022 for £74.99. It includes everything you get in the Crewmate and Imposter editions as well as a fleece blanket and a beanie hat.

Will Among Us come to any other platforms?

By the end of this year, Among Us will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S as well as its pre-existing homes of Nintendo Switch, iPhone, Android and Windows 10 PC. That may seem like total market domination, but there are still a few other platforms that the developers from Innersloth could consider.

There’s no word yet, for example, on whether Among Us will ever come to Google Stadia or Amazon Luna. These game-streaming platforms each have a growing library of games, but Among Us is not yet one of them.

Furthermore, if you own an older Mac or Macbook, you may have already realised that Among Us is not available on your device of choice. Although Apple revealed last year that the iOS version of Among Us can run on 2020 versions of the Mac, older models of Apple’s computers do not support this feature. If you want to play Among Us on an old Mac, you’ll have to dabble in emulators to work around the issue.

For now, it seems like the PlayStation and Xbox ports are the priority projects for the team behind Among Us, but we’ll be sure to let you know if any other platforms end up being confirmed.
