It’s time to get excited, folks – Nintendo will soon reveal the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards, meaning that fans of the hit island-management game will be able to buy another pack of tie-in items.
If they’re anything like the previous four series of Amiibo cards in this range (which most recently gave us the Hello Kitty collection of Animal Crossing Sanrio Amiibo cards), these new cards will allow you to lure a few new characters onto your islands.
What’s particularly cool about this Amiibo range is that it doesn’t just work on Nintendo Switch consoles. The cards are also compatible with the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii U, which is a pretty nifty feature in this day and age.
But what do we actually know about the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards? Read on for all the essential details, including the where and when of today’s big reveal.
When will the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards be revealed?
The countdown is on! The Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards will be revealed during a Nintendo Direct live stream at 3pm BST on Friday 15th October 2021.
This same event will reveal a major Animal Crossing: New Horizons update that will add Brewster to the game. You will be able to tune in through the YouTube video below:
When is the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards release date?
Nintendo has not yet confirmed the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards release date, but we’ve got a funky feeling that they’ll probably arrive in or around November 2021. After all, that’s when the big Brewster update will drop in New Horizons. When an exact date is confirmed, we’ll update this page. Until then, take a look at this teasing Tweet:

Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo Cards price: How much do they cost?
Again, Nintendo has not yet confirmed the price for the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards, but we can make a decent guess based on the previous form. When the Animal Crossing Sanrio cards launched back in March, a pack containing all six cards was priced at £4.99 GBP or $5.99 USD. So we’d expect something similar this time.
Where can you buy the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards?
Based on the previous form, we’d suggest that the Nintendo UK website will be the easiest place for British fans to buy the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards. Click that link in the previous sentence to see the full range of Animal Crossing Amiibo products that Nintendo has in stock at the moment.
Over in the USA, Target was the exclusive stockist of the Sanrio Amiibo cards back in March, so there could be a similar situation this time around on that side of the pond. In Canada, both Best Buy and Amazon stocked the Sanrio cards, so they may well receive stock this time as well.
When official information becomes available regarding the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards, we’ll be sure to update this page. Watch this space.
