A BBC news bulletin interrupted regular scheduling this afternoon as it was announced the Queen is currently under medical supervision at Balmoral, due to doctors becoming “concerned” for her health.

A statement from Buckingham Palace read: “Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

Prince Charles has arrived at Balmoral and the Duke of Cambridge is on his way, the BBC reports.

Queen Elizabeth II, 96, was set to appear in a virtual privy council yesterday (Wednesday 8th September), but was advised to pull out of the meeting in order to rest by her doctors.

Today’s news broke during a BBC One bulletin at 12.39pm, interrupting Bargain Hunt’s usual run, which is scheduled to end at 1pm on weekdays.
