Saturday 23th October
Kingsman: the Golden Circle – 9pm, C4
Spy action adventure starring Taron Egerton, Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. Now a card-carrying Kingsman agent, Egerton plays a certified super-spy who has inherited the title of his late mentor. Classic sports drama starring Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, Piper Laurie and George C Scott. Streetwise pool hustler “Fast” Eddie Felson journeys across America conning unsuspecting players into high-stake games before beating them with apparent good fortune. Animated comedy horror featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg. Exhausted from running the hotel, Count Dracula heads off on a sea cruise with the family. Saving Private Ryan– 9pm, 5 Star
Second World War drama directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks, Tom Sizemore and Edward Burns, and featuring Matt Damon. As the horror of the Normandy landings takes its toll, three brothers lie dead. Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit – 3:10pm, BBC One
Animated comedy adventure featuring the voices of Peter Sallis, Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter. As the annual Giant Vegetable Competition approaches, enterprising Wallace and Gromit cash in with their humane pest-control outfit, “Anti-Pesto”. Psychological thriller from David Cronenberg, starring Jeremy Irons and Geneviève Bujold. Beverly and Elliot Mantle are brilliant identical twins who run a fertility clinic in Toronto. The Stanford Prison Experiment – 11:05pm, ITV4

Arctic – 9pm, Great Movies Action
A man is stranded in the freezing Arctic after a plane crash and desperately seeks rescue. One day he thinks salvation has come, but a disaster leaves him fighting not just for his own survival, but also that of another who is critically injured. Black comedy thriller written by Quentin Tarantino, starring Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette. Psychological thriller starring William Petersen and Brian Cox. Ex-FBI investigator Will Graham is called in to solve a series of brutal murders by a killer dubbed the “Tooth Fairy”. Horror starring Robert Englund and featuring Johnny Depp. Four teenagers in a small town become possessed by the same horrific nightmare in which a hideously disfigured man with razors as fingernails stalks them. Crime drama based on a true story, starring James Stewart. A cynical journalist is at first sceptical when he interviews a mother who’s offering a large sum of money to anyone who can prove that her son is innocent of murder. Wildlife – 11:15pm, BBC2
Drama starring Carey Mulligan, Ed Oxenbould and Jake Gyllenhaal. Jerry and Jeanette Brinson move with their teenage son to a small town in Montana in 1960. When breadwinner Jerry loses his job at a golf course, Jeanette is forced to start teaching at a local swimming pool to make ends meet. As Jerry’s decision to fight fires in the northern part of the state puts further strain on their marriage, Jeanette begins an affair with a wealthy businessman. Read our full review

Sci-fi action drama starring Sharlto Copley. Nearly 30 years after aliens landed near Johannesburg, the extraterrestrial visitors are living in a squalid refugee camp called District 9. With the initial welcoming attitude of the human population long since faded, the order is given for the space visitors to be forcibly evicted. Thursday 28th October
Don’t Look Now – 9pm, BBC4
Nicolas Roeg’s supernatural thriller, adapted from Daphne du Maurier’s short story, starring Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie. Following the tragic drowning of their young daughter, John and Laura Baxter go to Venice – he to work, she to recuperate. There they meet two sisters, one of whom claims to be able to communicate with the dead child. Caught up in the bizarre events that follow, the Baxters are drawn inexorably toward a mysterious and forbidding fate. Read our full review

In post-war Yorkshire, with rationing still very much in force, a mild-mannered chiropodist tries to prove his worth to the snobbish locals by kidnapping a pig which is being fattened up for a local banquet. Zodiac – 11:25pm, BBC One
Crime drama based on a true story, starring Mark Ruffalo, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr. San Francisco, 1969: following a series of homicides, a cryptic message is delivered to the offices of a local newspaper. It is the first in a series of letters that taunt Inspector David Toschi and his team who are on the trail of a serial murderer. It also launches the paper’s cartoonist Robert Graysmith on an obsessive quest of his own to find the Zodiac killer. Read our full review
