Everything you need to know about the Ross Kemp thriller.
The hotly-anticipated drama Blindspot has begin airing on Channel 5 – and its star, Ross Kemp (EastEnders), has teased “bucketloads” of twists in the new thriller.
Blindspot revolves around police detective Tony (Kemp), who is investigating a mysterious death and is put under the spotlight when a witness who saw the attack begins to suspect foul play within the force.
Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com, Kemp said: “I read a lot of thrillers, I like things with twists and turns and this certainly has it in bucketloads.
“It keeps you guessing right to the end.”
Kemp is joined by newcomer Beth Alsbury as Hannah Quinn, a disabled woman with “a wry sense of humour” who alerts the authorities to the victim’s disappearance.
“[BAFTA-winning director] Jordan Hogg (Screw, Ralph & Katie, Ackley Bridge) has got cerebral palsy, and Beth is in a wheelchair… I thought it was quite enabling, without ramming it down your throat,” Kemp previously told RadioTimes.com of the project.
“I just liked it from a point of view that it was about empowering somebody in a chair,” he added.
Rob Kinsman, who’s written on Father Brown, Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators and Malory Towers, has penned the script.
