Hold on to your broomsticks.
Hogwarts fans, grab your broomsticks – the release date for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has been confirmed.
Although Hogwarts Legacy provided players with the chance to explore the wonderful Wizarding World, many were still left feeling unfulfilled after the notable absence of Quidditch in the game.
While the iconic Hogwarts pitch was present, brooms were only used for travel and some light racing in the game.
However, now Quidditch Champions is aiming to scratch that itch, with Unbroken Studios – which previously worked alongside other studios on such franchise titles as Call of Duty, God of War and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – bringing a competitive multiplayer game based on Quidditch.
Fans will remember that this isn’t the first time a Quidditch-themed game has been made, with EA’s 2003 effort Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup being the most famous example of a previous attempt.
But when will Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions arrive? Read on for the release date, pre-order details, trailer and more.

“Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a fast-paced, online multiplayer game featuring the world’s most iconic magical sport,” Warner Bros has said.
The game apparently “engages players in the sport of Quidditch and other broomstick adventures alongside friends in a competitive setting”.
According to the game’s Steam page, though, there will be “multiple ways to play”, including:
- Career Mode: From backyard battles in the Weasley’s home, The Burrow, to high-stakes showdowns at the Quidditch World Cup, rise to become a champion either solo or in online co-op with teams of up to three friends.
- Exhibition Matches: Set your teams, map and difficulty and play alone or on teams of up to three in online co-op.
- Player vs Player: Test your skills in competitive online matches against other Quidditch teams.
You can also level up and use skill points to tailor your play style for each role, as well as changing your flight style by switching between and leveling up different brooms – and you can even play as “iconic Harry Potter characters”.
So, plenty to look forward to, and if you want up-to-the-minute information, the game’s official Discord channel is probably worth signing up to.
