At long last, the Honkai: Star Rail PS5 release date has been revealed!

Confirmed during the September PlayStation State of Play live stream, the new game from the minds behind Genshin Impact is launching on PS5 soon. Very soon.

In case you missed it, Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha RPG from the team behind Genshin that dropped earlier this year. It’s a turn-based combat affair, set in a technically-advanced world populated by beings called Aeons.

It’s a fun little game that’s bound to please fans of JRPGs with its gameplay and art style.

Upon release, it was only available on mobile and PC, but now it has been confirmed when we can play HoyoVerse’s latest on the PS5.

Best of all, if you stick to using the same server, you can pick up on PS5 where you left off on PC or mobile.

No losing progress for those of you with dozens (or hundreds, we won’t judge) of hours logged into the game so far when moving to the shiny new PS5 version.

Well, at Gamescom Opening Night Live, a teaser trailer revealed that a PS5 “technical test” is to begin imminently. But what does this mean? We’ll take a closer look below.

When is the Honkai Star Rail PS5 release date?

The Honkai: Star Rail PS5 release date is Wednesday 11th October 2023, it has been confirmed by the developer.

Before the game goes live for everyone, some were lucky enough to join in the Honkai: Star Rail technical test on PS5.

With registrations for that technical test/early access beta having ended back on 28th August 2023, however, you’ve missed your chance to join in the fun early.

To keep you interested, though, a brand new Honkai: Star Rail PS5 trailer was released during the latest PlayStation State of Play live-stream which you can check out below:
