Magic Mirror in the camp, please help I need a revamp.
If, like us, you agonise over character creation in RPGs like BG3 only to regret your decisions the second you see them in a cutscene, you might want to know how to change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3, and if it can be done.
With almost limitless freedom, you’d certainly hope so. When the game first launched, players were stuck with their misguided decisions, but developers Larian have been busy bees indeed, and introduced a number of improvements to the game post-launch.

Can you change appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Yes, you can change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3 since Larian updated the game.
This came after players practically begged Larian for the ability to do so. It’s quite odd that you couldn’t at launch, but given you have literally do many thousands of other things, we’ll let them off.
Things can, however, be taken a step further with BG3 mods that can add any number of new ways to look.
How to change appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3
To change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3 you need to use the Magic Mirror in your camp.
The Mirror can be a bit tricky to find, depending on your location when you go to camp.
In Act Two, the Magic Mirror is at the top of a hill outside of the main camp area. In Act Three, it’s found within the building your camp resides in.
There are also story-based appearance alterations that can happen to your character, although these are quite minor.
You can also temporarily change your appearance via shapeshifting, too.
If you managed to grab the Digital Deluxe Edition, the “Mask of the Shapeshifter” will be inside the traveller’s chest. This is only a temporary change, and you’ll be right back to your true self whenever you rest.
