Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have finally finished The Beatles’ last song, Now and Then, and it is set to be released very shortly, with a special short film commemorating the occasion accompanying it.

The twelve-minute long short film – directed by Oliver Murray (My Life as a Rolling Stone) – will reveal the story of Yoko Ono discovering a tape featuring John Lennon’s vocals for the song in 1994 and the false starts the song has faced in the years since.

Featuring commentary from the late George Harrison, John Lennon’s son, Peter Jackson and remaining members McCartney and Starr, the short film is certain to be an emotional affair for fans of The Beatles, as their discography is concluded seven decades after the band first formed in 1960.
