The Academy Awards have almost arrived.
The Oscars 2022 take place later this month (27th March 2022) and the nominations have already been announced.
The Power of the Dog, a Western by director Jane Campion, is the most-nominated film, having garnered 12 nods including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
In second place is the sci-fi epic Dune from director Denis Villeneuve, with the film achieving 10 nominations.
Following this, Sir Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical film Belfast and Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of West Side Story each managed seven nominations.
