The pair play opposing detectives in the upcoming gritty drama.
Peter Capaldi’s upcoming Apple TV+ drama Criminal Record looks as gritty as it sounds.
The streamer has released the first trailer for the series, which stars the Doctor Who star as DCI Daniel Hegarty, alongside The Good Wife’s Cush Jumbo as DS June Lenker.
The pair are set to clash over an old murder case, with Capaldi’s veteran Hegarty determined to protect his legacy and Jumbo’s up-and-coming Lenker standing in his way.
Their tense face-off was already teased in a set of first-look images, though they didn’t reveal much about the case that brought them together.
“The series touches on issues of race, institutional failure and the quest to find common ground in a polarised Britain,” Apple TV+ had teased ahead of the trailer.
The eight-parter is set in London, with Vera’s Paul Rutman penning the script.
