It’s a Pokémon power hour!

OG Pokémon are all the rage in Pokémon Go lately, with another featuring heavily next week. And there are more exciting things on the way too, even though we have only just enjoyed all the fun that Pokémon Go Fest 2021 had to offer.

Also keeping the game fresh is the Spotlight Hour, where a selected Pokémon spawns in greater numbers for 60 minutes. So if you want the candy – or you need the bonus XP that you also get during the hour – you’ll need to get involved during that tight window of time.

When is Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour?

Tuesday is always the day for Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour, which means that 3rd August 2021 is the next date to mark in your diaries.

What time is Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour?

So now we know that the Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour takes place every Tuesday, but what time does it start? Luckily, there is no working out time zones here, as it is always between 6pm and 7pm in your local time – which means we get to finish work and then indulge in some Pokéfun.

Many Pokémon have taken centre-stage for Spotlight Hour including Grimer, Aloan Rattata, Marill, Swinub, Abra and Finneon, and now we know that Magnemite will be the Pokémon of the hour this week, stepping into the spotlight on 3rd August.

So, if you are still on the hunt for Magnemite candy and you want to get all the evolution powered up to the max, then this will be a great time to do it – just don’t be too disappointed if you don’t emerge from the hour with a shiny one as they are hard to find but do exist!

This week’s Spotlight Bonus will ensure that you get Double Catch stardust during the event as well. As if you needed another reason to jump in!
